Greetings!

Halloween festivities along Newtown's Main Street were magical as always. It's that time of year again as the holiday season begins to take shape. Newtown's beautiful historical buildings will soon twinkle with white lights while draped in evergreen garland. The various tree lightings, community gatherings, heart-felt donations and buying local are just a few things that make Newtown a spectacular community.
A quick reminder - Small Business Saturday is November 29th. All Newtown's merchants have deals and opportunities for you to gather holiday gifts, shop for holiday meals along with prepare your home and yourself for a festive season. We encourage you to shop locally this holiday season. Also, food banks everywhere are in need of donations, especially during the holiday season. Please consider donating to your local food bank today.

The EDC congratulates our expanding Newtown businesses and new business owners along with a 25th anniversary. The construction season has been busy in Newtown and builders are working hard before the frost arrives. The medical buildings at 164 Mt. Pleasant Road and the Villages at Lexington in the Borough are making progress. The new gas and convenient station along Church Hill Road will soon break ground and the new building at 6 Washington Street in Sandy Hook Village is almost complete.
The Newtown EDC would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season. May 2015 be prosperous and bring you great things!
