Lee Elders

"Expeditions- Gold, Shamans and Green Fire"

Journey from the banks of a prolific gold-bearing river named Hell to a last will and testament whose century-old riddle led explorers to an uncharted area of Ecuador in a futile search for high-grade emeralds: the Green Fire. EXPEDITIONS propels you on a thrilling journey into Lee Elders' search for this treasure in the world of the Untsuri Shuara, the headhunters of the Western Amazon. In the mid-sixties, the adventure of discovery was the enticement that drew Lee to this wild lawless land; the supernatural world of the Shuara that live in a mystical realm of ayahuasca-induced visions where the ethereal world is encased within our third dimensional reality. Lee's search for the Green Fire spanned years that were filled with insurmountable odds. Unpredictable weather, raging rivers, precarious jungle trails and dangerous predators proved formidable opponents, but those and other perilous obstacles didn't deter him.

Lisa Osina

"A Wolf Song- A Story of Forgiveness"

Lisa Osina will discuss her work and her book, "A Wolf Song' which is a healing story about a multidimensional, dual-life journey of tragedy, gratitude and forgiveness. Its key characters-Hanna and Margaret; their "spirit" wolves, Nano and Nala; family members; and teacher Trudy Goodenough-meet every ten years under Trudy's guidance and the wolves' whims. The story begins at childbirth; the girls meet nearing their tenth birthday and discover their wolf spirits under a jump rope. Each chapter contains a verse which reveals the lessons of each chapter. Ordered to meet every ten years by the wolves, Hanna and Margaret meet at twenty in Wales and in New York City at thirty. Nano and Nala are not necessarily balanced. Their karmic rites spill over into the young women's lives. One of the wolf spirits wreaks havoc at a public event, and a battle between light and darkness ensues.

 Maureen St. Germain

"Be a Genie: Create Love, Success and Happiness"

Maureen St. Germain will discuss her latest book, Be A Genie, which assists people in meeting, and surpassing, their life dreams and goals using the laws of quantum physics and secrets of sacred geometry. What is it - that makes a Genie a Genie? What if, every thought could occur as quickly as you desire it? What is the fastest way to make your wishes and dreams come true? A Genie! What is a Genie anyway? Is it a dream? Is it a person? Is it a magic bottle to make anything come true. Now, what if the Genie is you? What if you are finally free to live the life you've always wanted? What if you are finding out that you have way more power than you thought? What if you could see a way to become a Genie for yourself - and create your heart's desire? What if all this "magical" thinking was rooted in science and math? Suddenly you can see the power you will unleash - for yourself. You cannot be contained. You will become unstoppable!

March 26th
Lynn Andrews

"Standing at the Crossroads of Power"

Lynn Andrews will discuss her work which involves teaching women and men how to heal their lives and take personal power through the teachings of the sacred wheel.  A crossroads is a place of great power because it is a place where decisions must be made and acted upon. Action generates energy, which becomes power. Using the ancient teachings of the sacred wheel of life, Lynn will discuss how to harness that power and use it to choose your direction wisely and propel yourself through any crossroads in a conscious and intended way.  Then you measure the truth of the situation against your own personal truth to see what actions, what decisions, what direction will and will not work for you.  This is exactly what the sacred wheel teaches you to do. Once you understand the energies at work, you stand in the center of the wheel - which places you at the center of the crossroads of power - and you chart your way forward from a place of confidence and knowing.

Neptune

Neptune ruler of the Seas and the sun sign Pisces is now in its own sign of Pisces amplifying their common characteristics and taking the planetary influence of Pisces to a Galactic and Universal level. This is a grand opportunity to open up to your spiritual self as Neptune opens the door to the oneness with no boundaries whatsoever. Letting go of any obstructions or barriers to your merging with spirit. The danger is in losing yourself out in the vast wide open sea of consciousness and so you need to have an anchor to return yourself back to the earthly realm. Neptune has a dreamy, spiritual and deeply emotional quality which can lead to escapism, addiction and isolation from the earthly world. It is a powerful planetary influence to break down all barriers and step into a world of infinite potentiality and opportunities.

 Gem Stone

Aquamarine

Aquamarine is a stone of courage. Its calming energies reduce stress and quiet the mind. Aquamarine has an affinity with sensitive people. It can invoke tolerance of others and overcomes being judgmental, giving support to those overwhelmed by responsibility. It clarifies perception, sharpens the intellect and clears confusion. Useful for closure on all levels. Aquamarine promotes self-expression, soothes fears and increases sensitivity. It sharpens intuition and opens clairvoyance and is therefore wonderful for meditation. It shields the aura and aligns the chakras and is highly protective during pregnancy, guarding both mother and baby from harm, discouraging miscarriage. Aquamarine works through the throat chakra and is therefore helpful to sore throats, swollen glands and thyroid problems. It regulates hormones and boosts the immune system, alleviating overreactions, such as hay fever or allergies. In ancient lore, Aquamarine was believed to be a treasure of mermaids and it was used as a talisman to bring good luck, fearlessness and protection to sailors. It was also valued as a stone of eternal youth and happiness.

Modeling the New Way!
by Peter Tongue

The Valentine's weekend brought together a whole series of events and activities which really gave wonderful insight into the energies and awareness that it would be advantageous for us to work with in the next few weeks. First leading up to the Spring Equinox and then to the most potent time of the year between the Lunar Eclipse on the Full Moon on April 15th up to the Solar Eclipse on the New Moon on April 29th with Easter in the middle and the exactly aligned Grand Cross between April 23rd and 25th. These are revolutionary times and part of that precise Grand Cross is the fifth of seven exact Pluto Uranus squares. This is not a time for the weak of heart! In fact the heart is at the centre of it all. And so it was very appropriate that Sheva Carr and Robert Browning came to give an afternoon seminar on HeartMath in the Whale Gallery studio where Shari Brown hosted her art exhibition of giant driftwood hearts- it is all about the HEART! www.heartmath.org  and Sheva's interview last July can be listened to through www.voiceamerica.com/episode/71360/being-the-source-of-love

At the same time, I was reading Dr. Amit Goswami's new book, just published, called Quantum Creativity, which is my book selection for this month. In it he not only explains how Quantum Physics is at the heart of our inner creativity, but also a process through which you can work with your inner creativity to assist you on your developing spiritual journey. He distinguishes between the ego-self and the quantum-self which is what many of us are striving to connect with. One very important insight in the book is the subject of this article. He says that the mystics of old used their inner creativity to achieve spiritual liberation from the World. He also suggests that today the time has come for us to become attuned to the Worlds spiritual evolvement in consciousness and be a part of it. I am with him on that one. He outlines a four stage process to see your creativity in any form reach manifestation. The first stage is what we would typically do when we want to create something or make a big decision. We do our research; read books, surf the internet, discuss with trusted experts and get thoroughly motivated. The second step is somewhat surprising for you do nothing! You relax and go into quiet contemplation. Let me try and explain why. The Quantum field is the realm of the un-manifest, the unconscious, no matter, it is wave form. All the ideas, thoughts and feelings are circulating through you in wave form. Nothing has been created yet. The problem is if we start evaluating, judging, or even discounting certain pieces of the puzzle and start creating, then we will come to a limited creation. In the quantum field, everything is included. As you relax and be still, your unconscious starts building and bubbling

a more powerful wave form and then you have a Eureka moment! There is no doubting the authenticity when it happens as you get a massive hit of powerful, vibrant energy. It is how many great creations and challenging problems have been resolved. This is stage three and stage four is simply putting into form this creative insight-the physical manifestation of the dream! In this way we combine the work of the ego-self with the quantum-self and bring them into harmonized balance. This harmony within ourselves is what we are really striving for. His interview is at http://www.voiceamerica.com/episode/75980/quantum-creativity

During the same time, I was partaking in a Vagus Nerve activation and Torus breathing program with Barbara and Steve Rother of www.lightworker.com .  This very simple process does two mutually supportive things. First the Torus breathing makes us more sensitive by activating the Torus energetic pattern that runs around and through us such that we can connect more easily with any energy pattern that exists, including other people, angels, animals, plants, even Mother Earth herself as all living entities have a Torus energy pattern. In fact we are all interconnected through the nested Torus. The Vagus nerve activation enables the Vagus nerve to relax which means that although we are more sensitized through the torus activation, we are more emotionally balanced. In fact our nervous system has been re-calibrated. The Vagus nerve connects into much of the nervous system and our emotions in particular. All aspects of the brain and internal organs down as far as the bladder including all digestive, intestinal, lung and heart issues. Steve Rother suggests that there is evidence that points to the more your Vagus nerve is relaxed, the longer you will live!

As a result of all of this information, I put together an activation with explanation for our live meditation for Thursday February 20th and if you feel this is important, you can still access it through www.petertongue.com/events    and send an e-mail to [email protected]  requesting the Feb. 20th meditation.

As we move through the powerful energies of the next two months, it becomes critically important for us to model this new way of being. Amit Goswami calls it Do-Be-Do-Be-Do! Alternately acting and relaxing, allowing our unconscious to do its creativity on our behalf. Spend time finding the joy in life. Stop to experience the Earth coming to life in this period of early spring. Wonder in awe at Mother Nature. Humanity requires the pioneers of this new era of peace, prosperity and harmony to start living this balance between matter and consciousness. The realization that "Consciousness is the true foundation of Being" rather than matter. This awareness opens up a whole new World for us to explore and embrace with love in our hearts. To appreciate every wonderful moment in deep gratitude!

Star Temple Victoria - Last Round!

We wanted to let you all know that this will be the last round of the Victoria Temple of the Stars' monthly Alchemical Journeys. As we reach the end of the third cycle, we feel that this process is coming to a natural completion. And what a journey it has been!

We thank all of you who have walked with us, shared your beautiful presence, your stories, poetry, insights, visions, and creativity on these journeys. We are indebted to Mary Dowds for following her intuition, for discerning the zodiac disc in the Victoria landscape, and for all of the foundational work she had done, making all of this possible. We are grateful to Ted Spiers who had an uncanny knack for finding the most hidden, magical power spots within the effigies that Mary had discovered. And we have been blessed to have Melanie Lichtinger as our astrological consultant, sharing her wealth of knowledge and insights over the past three years.

We began on April 17th, 2011, in Aries, the birthday of Katharine Maltwood, the visionary and historical inspiration behind the Star Temple. It felt as though the first year was about us getting acquainted with the landscape structures, the myths, legends, and history of the different regions, and as we began to acknowledge the amazing synchronicities that took place, many more began to follow.

The second round felt as though it was much more to do with our own personal journeys of transformation - travelling through the twelve sun signs as the archetypes of our own unique humanness, both the positive light qualities and the more challenging shadow side of each sign, coming into wholeness by embracing each and every one. It was also about the alchemical process as we worked with the planetary metals of each of the signs' ruling planets.

And this year's journey has been more about opening our hearts and coming into perfect alignment with Mother Earth herself. With Zia guiding us in sacred ceremony every single time we have gathered over the past three years, it really feels as if we have come into a much deeper, sacred connection with our sweet Earth. On our walks, a beautiful interchange has been happening between us and the birds, animals, trees, elementals, and the landscape itself through vistas, visions, cloud formations and the play of light coming through in photographs. It feels as if a deep, permeating peace and joyfulness has settled into the landscape, just as it has settled into our own beings, as we walk.

We will meet for the final three signs in Capricorn on January 5th, Aquarius on February 2nd, and Pisces on March 2nd, bringing everything to completion at a final gathering around the Spring Equinox at the hub at a date yet to be decided. (Somewhere between Thursday March 20th-Sunday March 23rd).

We are absolutely dedicated to the sacred landscape of Victoria and will continue to co-create with it, and with the wonderful community that has grown with us, in different ways in the future. (And we truly encourage you to do your own explorations, meditations - whatever you are inspired to do - within the landscape as well - and see what you come up with!) There will be more walks and gatherings during key alignment times at sacred sites in the area. We are also feeling called to expand beyond our local landscape to connect with other magical places on Vancouver Island and in the world.

We wanted to let you know early so that those who wish to complete the journey with us can make the necessary plans. We are looking forward to a fantastic New Year and many new adventures!

AquariusWorkshop

The Phoenix Has Risen!

This day promised to be one of the most powerful yet, as we took this opportunity in our Aquarius effigy to step into the "AGE of AQUARIUS". We are so blessed to have in our midst, the sacred Holy Thorn Tree from the Crown of Thorns, as well as our connection to Joseph of Arimathea and Katharine

Maltwood. This tree carries the energy of Christ on the Cross and his Glorification. This transfigured energy is now available to us all as we step into the Aquarian Age of Freedom.

This year we decided to move up the Aquarius effigy from the base chakra to the crown. We began our day on the beach at Cadboro Bay, near the fallen tree that reaches out into the ocean. Here there is a granite slab, into which is sculpted a scorpion with a heart between its pincers. This was the point of inspiration for Mary Dowds, discerning the outline of Scorpio in our downtown landscape. This scorpion in our landscape is a reminder that the flow of water down Mystic Vale empties out here into the ocean. It is our final opportunity on this journey to release all of our unresolved, previously obscured issues, through the base chakra, out through the souls of the feet, filtered through the sand and out into the ocean. We reflected here for a few minutes and then opened sacred space.

We then visited Mystic Pond, spending some time there with the ducks and herons before making our journey up Mystic Vale. This is an internal and external pilgrimage. As we walk the outer journey through this beautiful deep gorge to the sound of trickling water, simultaneously clearing out the residual dross on the internal journey. It is important to realize that on these sacred pilgrimages, we are in reciprocal co-creation with Mother Earth. She is going through this alchemical transformation with us. As we ground, she grounds, as we heal, she heals, as we intention peace on Earth she intentions with us. This is the transformative power of walking the landscape in sacred ceremony.

We had an amazing experience at the bridge in the centre of Mystical Vale. This day was also Imbolc, the cross-quarter day in the Celtic tradition where Bridget and early spring is acknowledged and honoured. Zia created a bread bowl with eight white roses and eight candles embedded in it with a tall ninth candle in the centre. This was an offering to Mother Earth (Pacha Mama) through the water element flowing under the bridge! Katharine Maltwood was adamant that the Aquarius effigy in the landscape is the Phoenix rather than the water carrier. We feel as though we have both in our landscape. The legend of the Phoenix rising is that about every 500 years it burns itself up into ashes, to be resurrected into a higher level of being, constantly burning to ashes and being reborn. Zia lit all of the candles and floated the bread bowl out onto the water. The first observation was that it moved upstream against the current, just as were moving up the Vale against the flow, and then the tall central candle extinguished in the breeze. Amazingly after a few seconds it relit itself and this happened two more times, the last time seeming to be an age before it re-ignited. A reflection of the Phoenix! You couldn't have planned it better.

Our next stop was in the centre of the University, the spot in the landscape which is both the heart of the Water Carrier and the Phoenix.  We also knew from a document called "From Camelot to Campus" that an ancient Scottish Templar five-pointed star had been embedded in the Victoria landscape, with the centre of a series of nested five-pointed star fractals all aligned to this same spot. Intersecting ley lines also cross through this point at the "Heart of the University". This had been the site for our final ceremony for the first two years and the energy here was clearly felt underground as a powerful vibration. Zia poured holy waters from Lourdes and the red and white springs of the Chalice Well Gardens in Glastonbury on this spot. The site of our Holy Grail!

Our last port of call in the morning was at the Holy Thorn Tree. We gathered around the Tree, tuning into the Heart of Christ in the soul of the tree, entraining our own hearts. The four trunks of the tree provide a solid grounding rod for the four chambers of the heart where we connect deeply. This moment is a reminder to stay in our hearts as we follow the path of the Water Carrier and rise as the Phoenix.

A long morning in ceremony gave rise to enormous gratitude as we gathered in a really cosy and warm private home. Aquarius is about each person making their own unique contribution to the circle, with no one person being the leader. The unique gifts of each individual making up a collective Mandela, more powerful than the sum of the individual members. Each person brings their own flavor to a wonderful potluck potpourri. This we enjoyed and reflected on some ongoing themes not least of which was the knowing that part of our work is to anchor into the landscape higher frequency vibrations so that those in the invisible realms can draw close to us and support us on this sacred journey. Wonderfully this home was located right on the major ley line running from the Heart of the Lion in Leo at the Fireside Grill, through the Holy Thorn Tree and out into the ocean running along the edge of Ten Mile Point!

After a wonderful discussion in which everyone contributed and a sumptuous lunch was consumed, we headed back out into the Landscape and spent some time doing some healing work with some extraordinary trees that fringe around Maynard Park.

Our final destination was in the head of the Phoenix in the landscape on top of Mt. Tolmie. Traditionally, the symbol for Aquarius is the Water Carrier, but Katharine Maltwood saw the effigy in the Glastonbury Zodiac as a Phoenix centered on the Tor. In Victoria, Mary initially saw the water carrier and then Zia discerned the Phoenix. In other words both exist. It is a multi-dimensional structure. The Water Carrier supplies the infinite source of water or life force energy, assisting us in clearing out our residual dross, while the Phoenix rises from the ashes through the fire, to soar like the Eagle. From the top of Mt. Tolmie, we were certainly able to soar above the whole landscape zodiac and see it, and life, from a whole new awareness and perspective. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus and Zia had one of the Emerald radiant beads which contains naturally occurring Uranium to bury in our final ceremony in the throat chakra of the Phoenix. There is an important link between the heart chakra and throat chakra in the Phoenix effigy and here we were on Mt. Tolmie physically and energetically linking the two together through our ceremonies.

We completed our ceremony and celebrated a long and productive day dancing to the song, "Aquarius" by the Fifth Dimension. As we did so, the clouds opened up and we could see light shining on the mountain peaks of Mt. Rainier, Mt Baker and the Cascades. It felt really good!

And now we look forward to our landscape and zodiac seascape adventure in the last sign of Pisces on Sunday March 2nd, 2014!

SkyWatch
Monthly Constellation
A Vanishing Star!

A really interesting event takes place on March 19th/20th when an asteroid will pass in front of Regulus in the constellation of Leo resulting in the disappearance of Regulus for about 14 seconds. Unfortunately its disappearance will only be seen in New York and parts of Ontario! The same night the waning gibbous moon shines with Spica and bright Mars late into the night. Mars in Virgo will brighten dramatically as it appears earlier each week in the evening sky during the month. Watch out for Venus and the waning crescent Moon shining beautifully together in the eastern dawn on March 27th. Another highlight of this month are the giant stick figures of Castor and Pollux, the Gemini twins, high in the sky, hovering behind bright Jupiter.

Book Review
Quantum Creativity
by Amit Goswami

This brand new book to be published on March 1st contains all of the information and tools necessary to assist you in creating a living balance between what Amit calls your Quantum Self and Ego Self.  The main message of his book, Quantum Creativity is this: If you are interested in creativity and in thinking quantum, you have the basics of what it takes to be creative, in fact, to be extraordinary in your creativity.  Quantum physics is the physics of possibilities. Quantum physics says reality is both possibility and actuality.  The objects of the universe are possibilities, quantum possibilities; they become objects of actuality in our experience when we observe because we have chosen actuality from the possibilities proffered.  This two-level complementary reality is an important aspect of our consciousness. Creativity was difficult for people of the olden days because they had to pursue it blindly, they did not know how human creativity works; they assumed it is all mystery, all arts.  And today, lots of people shortchange their creativity because of their faulty mechanistic worldview. This book resolves the outdated beliefs in science and assists us in fully realizing our true creative spiritual self.

Astrological Signs
Pisces

Pisces, the last sign, brings together many characteristics of the previous eleven. It is the most highly evolved of all of the signs, the merging of the human soul with the Cosmos. A necessary step before the next incarnation in Aries. Pisces is represented by two fish and fosters a deep belief in the highest powers of the Universe. The two Pisces fish swim freely in the cosmic ocean. They represent the highest lessons of fellowship and also to see deeply into life and the nature of things, as well as submerging themselves into the depths of the hidden and ultimate mysteries. Pisces teaches us to not be afraid to let go of our earthly form and death is only the beginning of a new life. A spiritual letting go of earthly attachments and a merging with the Cosmos. Pisces people are compassionate, charitable, help others and put the needs of others in front of their own and can on occasion be taken advantage of. Challenges include; escaping from reality through the use of alcohol and drugs, bending in the wind under external influences and therefore being unable to make their own distinctive stand. They can be chameleon like and hard to pin down, hazy, and will tend to withdraw to safety in their own self-proclaimed nether world.

Salmon is the sacred keeper of wisdom and inner knowing who will always return to the place of its creation. Its determination is driven by the wisdom of instinct which yields a sense of purpose that cannot be thwarted by external forces. Salmon medicine honors every encounter in life as a gathering of wisdom.
