The Merry Maidens

When everyone else was focussing on December 21st, 2012, George Kavassilas was the only person I was aware of who talked about the first equinox, March 20th, 2013, following the Solstice as being the MOST important date. T he reason being that the movement into a new consciousness age needed to be balanced; light and dark, male and female equal, unlike the Solstice which is at an extreme end of the spectrum. So now several years later, it IS March 20th, 2013, the equinox George alluded to and here I am standing in a remote field in the south west of England with no other than George Kavassilas himself.
We were together for this momentous occasion and we had work to do. In the field was an intact standing stone circle called the Merry Maidens. Legend had it that the Merry Maidens were dancing to the music of the fiddler and piper on the Sabbath and for their sins all got turned to stone including the musicians who stand as single monoliths outside the circle. The circle is made up of nineteen standing stones with a space at the eastern entrance. The stone in the west being particularly significant. Energy currents related to the Michael/Mary ley line run through the circle in the east/west and north/south directions.
The sense was that in the dark ages, the suppression of the sacred feminine had reached such a fever pitch that the conscious, intuitive women were being driven out of the country via the south west and this place was the physical end of the road. A decision was made to freeze the sacred feminine consciousness in the stones until a future time when humanity was ready to have the balance restored and this was that time.
Eight of us gathered together in this field, four men and four women, four from Canada, three from Australia and one from England. Having opened sacred space, we each went around the stone circle, connecting to each stone individually, offering our love, appreciation and apology for all of the pain and suffering caused by the male suppression and capitulation of the sacred feminine. Each stone felt unique and had its own personality as we connected deeply. The stones even felt warm on a cold, crisp day.
Once we were all complete, we came together in an eight-pointed star at the centre of the stone circle and Zia led us in toning to anchor and activate the balanced energies of the sacred feminine and sacred masculine. We even had a ninth member of our team. A young man sat on a stone a short distance outside the circle, holding space for us and being our silent witness. He even heard the stones ring as we sounded the tones.
What a start to our two week adventure! As it happens, it felt as though we did the most significant and profound work in that first hour exactly on the spring equinox at 11.00am GMT on March 20th, 2013.
The rest of the journey was to continue the activation along the major ley lines running through England, Scotland and France. A giant isosceles triangle placed over and connecting St.Michaels Mount in Cornwall, the Brodgar Stone circle on the Orkney Islands off the north coast of Scotland and Cathar Country in the Languedoc region of southern France.
Each place we went to opened up another connection to the crystalline grid of the planet. We even split up at times to pull in different places including Tintagel, Glastonbury, Preseli in Wales where the blue sarsen stones were collected and transported in the building of Stonehenge. The magnificent Gower Coast, north of Swansea and the Lake District of northern England.
We reconnected again in Scotland to travel to Edinburgh and the now famous Rosslyn Chapel to anchor and activate the energies there and also at the Holy Mountain right in the Heart of Scotland, Mt. Schiehallion, a most magnificent elemen tal site. Close by we visited the Fortingall Yew Tree, allegedly the oldest living thing in western Europe at approximately 5,000 years old, a tree of resurrection, doing so every 500 years. We are beginning to realize the significance of these ancient trees, often planted in sacred vortex sites in churchyards.
The group then split up again with two heading off to Iona and the Isle of Mull while the remaining six pilgrims, still in male/female balance, flew to Toulouse and the south of France. There we spent time with the energies of the Cathars in Carcasonne, Rennes Le Chateau and Montsegur. These were the locations of the brutal Albigensian Crusade, the French Inquisition, against its own people. The torture and slaughter of thousands of innocent people for following their own spiritual truth. We again set out to heal, clear and restore the feminine principle to its rightful place of balance, peace and harmony.
Just imagine now this netweork of intersecting ley lines and energies fully activated, generating a beautiful flowing current of harmonious, balanced loving vibration pulsing through the landscape in this gi ant European Triangle and now as we return home to our own countries, the energy flowing across the globe through Australia, North America and all regions in between. Perhaps not a coincidence that the Total Solar Eclipse in May will take place for six minutes right over Australia!

Having just returned from Glastonbury it was neat to see the effigy of the Questing dog in the landscape there. It is set apart from the main disk of the zodiac and we are to request permission from the "questing dog" to begin our journey. We decided to go visit the dog and seek its permission for a third round of the "Temple of the Stars" pilgrimage and to be our companion on the journey .
In Glastonbury, it is the Girt Dog of Langport, situated well outside the zodiac disk with its tail in a small village called Wagg! The nose of the dog is at one of the sacred sites in the landscape on the Michael/Mary Ley  line at a place called Burrowbridge Mump. Our dog stands on the east side of the Pat Bay Highway, extending south to Island View Beach and up to the head at Newman Farm Park, including the streets Arthur Drive and Lancelot Place- we knew we were in the right place !
To add to the synchronous journey, the mouth and tongue of the dog are across the highway on Mt.St Michael Road at Sea Cider Farm and Ciderhouse. No coincidences on this journey as Zia uncovers the ancient Somerset (Where the Cider Apples grow!) wassailing ceremony. After the cider has been brewed, this ceremony is held to honor Mother Earth and the Apple Orchard that produced the cider apples. In the ceremony, toast is dipped in the freshly brewed cider and placed in the fork of the Guardian tree of the orchard. Then the cider is placed in a circle around the base of the tree, to bring nourishment to the roots and connect the energies of the Earth into the star constellations of Canis Minor and Canis Major, including of course the "Dog Star" Sirius. Amazingly the Girt Dog of Langport even gets a mention in the wassailing song. At the end of the ceremony, there is a celebration, with great merriment, dressing up, food and of course buckets of cider!

And this is the night we go singing wassail
O master and missus now we must be gone
God bless all in this house til we do come again
For it's your wassail and it's our wassail
And its joy be to you and a jolly wassail"
Wonderfully, Sea Cider Farm allowed us to do a wassailing ceremony in their orchard and had actually produced a wassailing  cider which we were able to use in our ceremony- a much more modest, yet significant occasion, compared to the the old days!
We had begun the day having fun on Island View Beach with all of the visiting dogs and families. After a picnic pot luck lunch, we headed to the sacred part of the day. We opened sacred space on Saanichton Bay beach and then walked the back of the head of the dog, seeking our permission to begin our "Temple of the Stars" journey, close to the nose of the dog in Newman Farm Park. We felt that we had been given our permission to proceed with the blessing of our Girt Dog in the landscape, as well as the beautiful actual dog who accompanied us on our journey, and so we moved on to our wonderful ceremony at Sea Cider Farm.
Our final stop was at the Waddling Dog Hotel where an old lineage of basset hounds have lived for many years and we brought our day to a close by feeding doggy biscuits to John the current basset hound who was very happy to see us!
Aries Workshop
Impulsing the Balanced Masculine and Feminine Energies
Our Aries workshop offered a very special opportunity as we were invited to spend part of our day at the magnificent home of Nadina and Maarten Schaddelee. We began the day in the head and upper body of the Paschel Lamb which is the Aries landscape effigy in Lambrick Park. The name is not a coincidence and in her research Mary Dowds discovered that there had indeed been a sheep farm in the park in the past. We  found a beautiful natural oasis of trees and stones where we tuned into our day in quiet reflection and opened sacred space. Amazingly as we were about to begin, two black and white border collie dogs, what I would call English sheep dogs came racing into the Park and started rounding up invisible sheep! It was a remarkable sight to behold and incredible confirmation through synchronicity of our Aries landscape.
Community Living Victoria has become our home from home on the sacred landscape journies and we adjourned there for lunch and our informal round table discussion of Aries. Since our beginning two years ago, we have gained a great deal of insight and understanding and so we began this third round of the zodiac from an elevated aw areness. We felt that the first round of the zodiac was familiarizing ourselves with how this works. Last year was about understanding the human condition within ourselves and our relationship with others. This year it feels like our connection to Mother Earth is going to be the strong focus, healing our 'Mother' through the magnificent trees in our landscape.
Our journey back out into the landscape took us to Arbutus Cove where the delightful pale pink blossoms guided our way. This felt very much like the feminine aspect of our landscape feature and we tuned in to the Arbutus trees toning through the trunk and roots to connect and bring healing to the Earth.
The Schaddelees live on the ocean very close to Cormorant Point, the tail of the lamb in the landscape. In her original discovery of the zodiac Mary Dowds felt very strongly the energy flowing into our landscape at this point. Later our mathematician, Mat Geddes, demonstrated that a golden mean spiral fits perfectly on our landscape beginning at Cormorant Point and flowing into the hub of the Zodiac at Camrose Park.
Nadina Schaddelee is a representation of the sacred feminine energy connected through Oola, the original Lemurian Goddess of the Hawaiian Islands. She intentionally welcomes the first rays of the sunrise ac ross the ocean and into her land and our landscape every morning with her beautiful pink marble sparrow songbird. What a remarkable gift for us all! Maarten has manifested through his work with stone and wood, magnificent sculptings of Nadina's intuitive insights creating their own heaven on earth on their sacred property. What an incredible inspiration they are to us on this journey of transformation. Fully charged with energy, we made our way to our final ceremonial spot where some dowsing demonstrated the ley lines crossing through the standing stone circle in Vantreight Park. This was the site of our very first ceremony two years ago and the burial of a Lemurian seed crystal. Last year we did ceremony with the metals and minerals asociated with each sun sign-red ochre(Iron minerals) in Aries and this year we will be working with the gem stones.
As we finished our dowsing, Zia appeared out of nowhere, under the maple tree, with red ochre face paint and holly in her hair. It was a startling visual impact of the fire Goddess merging into the landscape! We all blessed the bloodstone gem to be buried in the final ceremony.

Sky WatchMonthly Constellation Triple Planet Conjunction and the Eclipses of May!
On May 26th, a rare very tight triple conjunction will take place in the northwestern twilight sky between Jupiter, Venus and Mercury.
An annular eclipse of the Sun tracks across northern Australia and the South Pacific on the May 9th New Moon. At maximum eclipse the Moon is directly in front of the Sun for six minutes. On May 24th, the full Moon grazes the outer edge of the Earth's penumbral shadow. This partial lunar eclipse will have no visible effect, but the full Moon will rise exactly at sunset opposite the sun at mideclipse for western Canada
The Pleiades sit at 29 degrees of Taurus on May 20th, just before the move into Gemini. The nine brightest stars of the Pleiades are named for the Seven Sisters of Greek mythology: Sterope, Merope, Electra, Maia, Taygete, Celaeno and Alcyone, along with their parents Atlas and Pleione. As daughters of Atlas, the Hyades were sisters of the Pleiades. The name of the cluster itself is of Greek origin, though of uncertain etymology. Suggested derivations include: from plein, to sail, making the Pleiades the "sailing ones"; from pleos, full or many; or from peleiades, flock of doves.
Ancient civilizations looked to the heavens as guides for their daily lives. They attributed many things to these gods who were both good and bad - kind and harsh. They created mythological tales about those who came from the different star systems. They believed that the gods lived in the heavens and sometimes flew down to the planet bringing messages of teaching or warnings of disasters. These people communicated with their gods through meditation and dreamtime. They believed that the gods would one day return.
The alignment in the heavens is like a blueprint upon which those on the planet can plan their daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly activities. The heavens were also the way they plotted their seasons so they would know when to plant and when to harvest, when the waters would come and when it would be dry. In essence they worshipped those from the skies, the Pleiades being a major factor for many civilizations.
The Pleiades' high visibility in the night sky has guaranteed it a special place in many cultures, both ancient and modern.

Astrological Signs
Taurus
Taurus is a fixed earth sign ruled by the planet Venus and has the symbol of the bull. It is the first earth sign and as such shows the fully incarnated spirit putting down roots. Practical, reliable and patient, Taurus requires harmony and security, particularly in the home which is usually attractive and somewhat luxurious, including good food.
