Mars

Mars lights a fire under our passions, and then propels us like an ignited rocket toward our goals. This is an important energy, since it determines how we pursue what we want to achieve in life. These flashpoints burn a path toward what is possible, if we follow them. The planet is named for the God of War, but Mars energy only becomes a negative force when it serves the Ego, and not a higher cause. On a social level, it is a primal force that can become destructive when its collective power is harnessed for questionable purposes. Your Mars, or desire drives, can be co-opted and channeled by others. That makes a strong case for understanding your desires, and not allowing them to fall into shadow. When Mars is "afflicted" or has many conflicts in a birth chart, it can lead to repressing the vital fire within. But not to be denied, a stifled Mars will eventually erupt, and emerge through temper tantrums or just a lowgrade, but constant irritability. All Mars asks is to be channeled and given an outlet. When your own Mars nature is understood, it's easier to master. It guides you toward making the most of your potential through the use of your own natural assertiveness.

 Gem Stone

Bloodstone

Bloodstone (also called heliotrope) is green with distinctive red spots that resemble blood, giving this stone its name. The bloodstone was used to stop bleeding especially nosebleeds. There is a legend that says the bloodstone was formed from the blood of Christ dripping on the green earth and solidifying. It was also called heliotrope by the Greeks and was thought to bring change. The bloodstone has been used as an amulet to protect against the evil eye. Bloodstone is the symbol of justice. The bloodstone is used for circulation of all energy in the body and helps to remove energy blocks. Bloodstone is used in the alignment of all the centers of the body. A healer must do this alignment while the patient lies on his/her stomach. It also aids in the circulation of blood. It is good to have several pieces of Bloodstone in the home to increase the flow of life energy.

The Vibration of Love
Healing the Five Wounds of the Sacred Heart!
by Peter Tongue

Following my radio show interview with Anaiya Sophia,

http://www.voiceamerica.com/episode/66517/womb-wisdom-with-anaiya-sophia, I realized that the healing work we are doing was very closely related with her womb wisdom. As a result, a group of us went down to Portland, Oregon, to attend her weekend workshop at the end of February. It was an extremely worthwhile experience and some very important insights emerged.

She focuses attention on the love, power and wisdom that all of us have available to us once we have healed all of the wounds that we have suffered over this and many lifetimes. The fragmented aspects of these wounds settle into the lower body and disrupt the power center in the womb or hara-the power centres in the body. Once healed we can move into a state of unconditional love in the heart and move into our full Christhood or Buddhahood and begin our enlightened path of wisdom.

The five wounds are reflected in the passion of Christ. The period between the Last Supper and the Resurrection was used to demonstrate the five wounds that human beings suffer. All interactions that we have had, that caused us pain, fit into one of these five wounds and so it is well worth having a clear understanding of them.

The five wounds connect to different chakras and so we can clear our energy system as we focus on healing these five wounds. They are; betrayal, denial, judgment, separation and abandonment. Judas, Peter, the authorities and the crowd, the Roman soldiers and ultimately God were the other players in these scenarios. We should focus on our own relationship with these five wounds and heal them for all time!

Betrayal occurs in the solar plexus chakra and takes place when we feel threatened in some way by a third party stepping into a relationship that is very important to us, which can be a person, job or situation. There may be actual betrayal or we may create the illusion of it through our fear. The resolution to this is trust. To trust ourselves, the others and even the betrayal itself. To resolve all of our challenges, we need to come to the realization that everything in our lives has been brought to us, to show us where healing needs to take place.

Denial is in the throat chakra and takes place when we are placed in a difficult position and choose not to speak our truth, because we move into a place of fear, often around losing a job or relationship. This denial separates us from our spiritual truth. We need to be truly honest with ourselves and speak our truth, with discernment and wisdom. The resolution of denial is indeed speaking your truth, being your truth and modeling your truth in the world, whatever the consequences. This does not suggest reckless abandon and screaming from the rooftops, but being in our integrity, honest and truthful at all times.

Judgment is in the third eye chakra and we take judgments full on in the face. I am sure you have had the situation where you have walked into a group waiting to pass judgments upon you and you feel your face reddening. This includes self judgment as well as being judged by others, and we need to realize that these judgments and choices made were done with the level of consciousness that each person had at the time. Its easy to look back and lay blame for poor decisions with hindsight, but almost every person in the world makes their judgments and decisions based upon doing their best with the level of awareness they have at that time. Forgiveness is the resolution to judgment. It is forgiving yourself for everything you have done and forgiving every other person for what they have done. Forgiving is "for giving yourself freedom". If not you remain attached to the circumstances and the people involved in the hurtful circumstances.

Separation is actually outside the body in the eighth chakra. Its important to realize when we are hurt by a comment or scenario that, typically, our consciousness leaves the body and we are no longer there. We cannot sense, feel or respond to the situation because we feel numb. We appear to have become aloof and withdrawn and yet when challenged tend to say we are okay. At this point, we are unable to comment rationally, because we aren't really present. We may wish to withdraw and scream the house down in rage. This scenario requires us to realize what has happened, breathe, and bring our consciousness down into the body and into the heart centre. This enables reunion to take place within ourselves and with those around us.

Probably the greatest fear people have is being abandoned. Left out, rejected, not valued, alone. This wound resides in the base or root chakra and is the moment when Jesus was on the cross and asked God, "Why hast thou forsaken me?" In that moment we have a sense of total abandonment. There is no one there to support us, including God. This is the final step and challenge in the process. This moment requires us to die to all of our previous beliefs about everything. The only way out is to surrender fully and totally to Creator. We let go of everything and annihilate our ego and even our soul. This is the crucifixion. If we are able to let go entirely and surrender, then a magnificent event takes place which is called the Resurrection. We do not have to physically die in this process, but we can reconstitute ourselves at a new level of being and awareness. Our soul and ego functioning at a whole new level of awareness. Initiation into Enlightenment!

Once you have gone through this entire process, you will never fear anything again. Nothing can touch you, because you have total trust in the Creator and the Universe, you live in your truth in peace, harmony and unconditional love and can handle whatever comes along in your life. Once this healing is complete, you step into your full power, love and wisdom, embodying all that the Enlightened Ones throughout history have demonstrated to us. This time around, this level of awareness and enlightenment is available to all of us if we are prepared to go within and do this healing.

It's a very exciting time to be alive on the planet and I hope you will find this article of great assistance on your awakening journey. I am indebted to Anaiya Sophia for her wonderful insights and thorough research into this crucial area of understanding. www.anaiyasophia.com

Activating the HUB!
by Peter Tongue

Our hub gathering this year on March 17th coincided with St.Patrick's Day which made for a wonderful connection with the elementals, fairies, elves and leprachauns! We met near the hub, at the intersection of three roads which create a five pointed star; Camrose, Crown and Salsbury Way. This five-pointed star reminds us that when we walk the landscape, we are actually walking the stars in the heavens under our feet on our sacred pilgrimage. Cam-rose means the Rose at the heart of the zodiac disk, spinning around the polar axis like a cam-shaft. Crown reminds us we are untangling the Crown of Thorns of the material world and setting ourselves free through the Crown of Initiation. Salsbury Way reminds us that we are walking the ley line grids of the planet as Salisbury in England connects the ley line that runs through Stonehenge to the Michael/Mary line that runs through Glastonbury. This five-pointed star is where our zodiac ley lines intersect at the hub of the wheel.

So our pilgrims head off on a sacred walk through the landscape along Salsbury Way, heading to four locations representing the four elements. We begin at Playfair Park, which represents the fire element and will soon be ablaze with color; red, pink and orange fire blossoms. Here we opened sacred space to the six directions and use the fire energy to ignite the first impulse of our journey through the fire signs of Aries, Leo and Sagittarius.

Now we head off to Kings Pond on Queensbury at the north end of Cedar Hill Golf Course and are greeted by hundreds of quacking ducks. This really is a happy place where humans, animals and birds come together as one. This is the stopping point for our water signs of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces. The final opportunity to go into deep reflection while gazing into the still water of the pond and eking out the final remnants of dross deeply buried within.

We had a surprise side visit along the way to the "Nut House" on Tracksell Avenue. A unique, incredibly creative house, that has to be seen to be believed, both inside and out. It is like a fairytale fantasy land, and we were honored to have the opportunity to go inside and take a peek where the owner Steve Milroy of Wonderworks has done an absolutely amazing job. www.wonderworksvictoria.com

Now refreshed we returned to our pilgrimage and began our ascent up to the air signs at the top of Summit Park, where remarkably we notice the mural there has been painted by the owner of the "Nut House", where we had just been! He has a brilliant gift! Here we feel the cool fresh breeze on our skin as we tune in to the air elements of mental acuity, balance and freedom through Gemini, Libra and Aquarius.

We now take all of the energies gathered during our walk and ground them into the earth at the rocky outcrop of Peacock Park. We intentionally ground the energies along the spine and through the soles of our feet as we connect to the earth signs of Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn.  We bring all of our resources in service to Mother Earth, as we manifest heaven on Earth.

We are slowly but surely spiraling back into the hub of the zodiac at Camrose Park, as we make our way along Crown Crescent. We have arrived at our final destination!

Zia led our final ceremony which this year involved each pilgrim offering an artifact to be added to our collective prayer bundle- a crystal, a stone, an orgainc offering, even chocolate and a beautiful daffodil. We then buried the bundle in a tiny, rocky cave, just perfectly big enough to house it. We then sounded a tone to activate and integrate all twelve sun sign structures into the hub and then out around the globe. It was a very sacred moment and as we toned it sounded as though there was a huge choir of beings joining in with us-such magnificent support!

All that was left to do was celebrate a wonderful day at the climax of a magnificent year.

We will be continuing on our journey by seeking permission to engage in a third round of great adventure and pilgrimage through the landscape by addressing the "Questing Dog" on April 7th!

Pisces Workshop
Everywhere and Nowhere - Follow Your Bliss!

Pisces has remained a mystery in our landscape and some believe that as Victoria is a Pisces city, born on March 14, that indeed it is everywhere and nowhere. We decided to follow that theme for our Pisces journey in the landscape. We opened sacred space on the top of Mount Tolmie where we  celebrated the Phoenix rising in Aquarius. The opportunity was then offered to each of the participants to go off on their own pilgrimage, individually, and simply merge with the landscape in any way that seemed appropriate. Mt. Tolmie has some beautiful trails and power spots and people just let themselves go and become one with Mother Earth. It was wonderful to see members of our group scattered over the hillside; sitting, lying, connecting with trees, birds, rocks, earth and sky in quiet contemplation. One of the key qualities of Pisces is dissolving into the oneness and it really felt as though this was taking place.

Amazingly, everyone reconstituted themselves and appeared at our meeting place just outside the magical Finnerty Gardens at the University of Victoria. We spent a few moments toning at a Memorial Fragrant Fountain Tree in honour of a wonderful young man who passed away just one year ago from meningitis while a student at the University. A beautiful, peaceful resonance prevailed around the tree.

We then set off for our shared potluck lunch at a private home where we enjoyed a lovely energy overlooking Arbutus Cove. We had a really interesting discussion about Pisces and the incredible clustering of Planets in Pisces at this time providing a fantastic opportunity to merge with the oneness.

The metal ruling Pisces is Platinum and amazingly Dawn had managed to procure two small pieces; one for our concoction and one for the burial which Zia had decided needed to be done at sea again this year. Hollydene Park had been identified as a potential Pisces fish effigy swimming out to sea in the landscape. Traditionally, there are two fish in the landscape joined by a silver cord, one ascending to the heavens and one moving out horizontally through the landscape. This was Hollydene Park.

This year there was no kayak and we were all interested to  see how the sea burial was to take place. On arrival at Hollydene following a brief, but very pleasant pause at Glencoe Cove, which has a remarkably similar signature energetic to Tintagel Head in the UK, we were met by Zia peering out to sea, on a rock out in the ocean, in a wet suit with boogie board at hand. She had created a bundle containing all of the metals used in each of the monthly sojourns including the Platinum which we had all blessed over the lunch break

Zia felt confident that with all of the participants holding space along the shoreline for her, she would be able to swim out on the board into the sea of all that is-the silence, the stillness. She embraced this energy and became one with it, before releasing the crystal bundle into the ocean. She immersed herself in the water and then felt an energetic "tug" back to this reality as we began to gently welcome her back to shore. This sensation is a key part of this ceremony. The shadow side of Pisces is getting lost in the fog, mist and confusion of merging with the oneness. It is the zodiac itself that acts as the anchor, the guidepost back to this reality. It was the gathered group of pilgrims on the shoreline who brought Zia safely back to this realm, with all of the gifts that had been experienced intact. This is the ultimate lesson of Pisces. To merge into the oneness, to experience bliss, peace and harmony and then bring it back into our physical world, so that we can co-create heaven on earth.

Having completed the second round of the zodiac wheel, anchored and activated the energies at the hub, and requested permission from the questing dog, we are now ready to start our second incarnation in Aries on April 14th.

I have just returned from a scouting trip to England and Scotland to firm up our pilgrimage in September following the Dragon Current Ley Lines of the Arthurian Energies and it is going to be a profound and moving experience. The information is at the link below and I really hope you will be called to join us.

Monthly Constellation
Spring Time Spectactular

In last month's newsletter, I commented on the phenomenal photographic opportunity occurring on March 16th with the waxing crescent moon sliding between Jupiter and Aldebaran. One month later, on April 13th, a second opportunity occurs when the next waxing crescent moon is slipping between the Hyades and Pleiades star clusters and below Jupiter, all surrounded by the brilliant stars of winter sinking into the evening twilight. After sunset on April 25th, look south-east to see the Full Moon rising in tandem with Saturn opposite the Sun. At this time, Saturn in opposition to the Sun and closest to Earth, begins its prime time appearance as our main evening planet this spring and summer, replacing Jupiter.

Astrological Signs
Aries

Aries is a cardinal fire sign ruled by Mars and has the symbol of the Ram. It is the first and most elemental of the twelve signs of the zodiac, representing the beginning of all things. As the first sign, it is primal in nature and resists analysis or attempts to explain it. Aries repesents the ego and the will in their purest from. The ram is fiery, prodigious and dynamic. It wishes to exist for its own sake-it simply is! Aries people tend to be spontaneous, frank and open, but also self-centred and willful. The urge to be the star and to shine is strong in them, but equally so the impulse to explore. Aries often display a strong desire to lead, but may lack the necessary administrative skills to follow through with success. At their best, Aries can be truly original and idealistic pioneers, but at their worst only novelty seeking, unfeeling egotists.

Monthly Animal Totem

Hawk

The hawk is a messenger of insight, adaptability and openness. Hawk people aim to initiate and lead, and may be impulsive from time to time. They want to establish individuality while still being accepted by the group. Hawks piercing shriek tears through the air. In its shrill cry lies an important message which represents illumination. Hawk teaches us to scope out the situation and focus on our talents, trying to draw them out. Hawk learns to see the big picture in order to understand the past, present, and future. Hawk asks us to be observant of surroundings so we won't get distracted from our path by others. It also reminds us not to get caught up in minor annoyances so we can maintain our inner balance.
