Fall Back to Standard Time
Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour this Saturday before you go to bed and get an extra hour of sleep!
This is also a good time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors.
Parent Math Night
We will hold a Parent Math Night on Monday, November 3rd from 6:30-8pm in the Art Room. All parents who have students in grades 3-5 are encouraged to come to learn more about our new math curriculum, Math In Focus, and some of the key instructional strategies that we are using with your students.
Hope to see you there!
Student-led Conferences
This year we have moved our student-led conferences to the beginning of Thanksgiving Week. Conferences are an important part of the educational process here at SHS and an important opportunity for teachers, students, and parents to check-in together face-to-face. All families are expected to schedule and attend a conference for each of their children during these two and a half days. We are asking that families who will not be travelling a long distance for Thanksgiving to schedule their conferences on Tuesday or Wednesday if possible so that families who are travelling a long distance can hold their conferences on Monday or Tuesday. We appreciate everyone's cooperation with this new conference schedule. - Mr. Burroughs
Annual Parish Pledge
It is time to renew and update your annual pledge to Sacred Heart Parish. Pledge cards are available in the bulletin, the parish office and the school office. This new pledge will take effect in January of 2015. When prayerfully considering your pledge for next year, it is important to remember that Sacred Heart Parish operates a variety of ministries and programs to care for the needs of our community, all of which need your support. From Mass and baptisms, to youth ministry and outreach to families in need, Sacred Heart Parish touches thousands of people every year. One very important ministry of the parish is our school. Each year the school receives financial support from the parish in the amount of 20% of the parish's income. The more you can give to the parish, the more we will receive in support of our school's programs, projects, and facilities. - Mr. Burroughs
