Cyber Safety and Social Media Risks - What Every Family Needs to Know

Called To Protect Class
If you have not yet attended a Called to Protect Class, you have the opportunity of completing it here at Sacred Heart in the Moore Theater on Wednesday, February 5th, at 6:30 PM. All school and parish volunteers who work with children or vulnerable adults are required to complete a Called to Protect class as part of the Safe Environment Program. Register for free here. Volunteer Help Needed on the Playground and Lunchroom
We are looking for volunteers to take on a Thursday Lunch Recess Duty from 12:15-1pm, as well as people to help in the lunchroom on Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 11:50am - 12:50pm. If you are available to help with any of these jobs, please contact our Service Board Chair,

Accreditation Early Dismissal
The accreditation visiting committee will be here February 12th through 14th. After observing classes and activities at the school and meeting with small groups and individuals, they will write a report of their findings and make a recommendation for the term of our accreditation. They will read that report to our staff on Friday afternoon. In order to accommodate this on a Friday afternoon (which is both Valentine's Day and the Friday of President's Day Weekend), we will be dismissing school at 12pm for grades kindergarten through eighth. Pre-kindergarten will operate on its regular schedule. This early dismissal will allow our staff and the visiting team to meet and celebrate and still head home at a reasonable time. I apologize for the late word about this change. The chair of our visiting committee told me today that she has read through our self-study and is very happy with what she has seen and felt comfortable moving up our time frame bit because of that.

Lunch Service Help Needed
No Junk Inc. is looking for a Sacred Heart parent who is interested in helping in the kitchen from 10am until 1pm Monday through Friday. You will be compensated for two hours and we will feed your child/children at no charge in exchange. Duties will include prepping fruit for service, baking pizza, hot pockets and quesadillas. You would assist our lead employee in the set-up of lunch service and the clean-up. We really need to find help as soon as possible. You will need a valid King County Food Handlers Permit.
