Auction Time!

What's the most important way that you can support the programs and people that make Sacred Heart School a great place for your child to learn and grow? Attend and support the auction!

It is impossible to overstate the importance of the auction in our annual fundraising efforts. It is our largest fundraiser of the year. The money raised from the auction goes directly to supporting the programs and people you appreciate and enjoy: our school counselor, Spanish in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, reading and math specialists, full-time art and music teachers, professional development for our staff, and much more.

This year's Fund-a-Need will support the school's endowment. This means that you will have the opportunity to support the current activities and programs of the school by attending and supporting the auction and the opportunity to support Sacred Heart School for next year and every year on into the future through your gift to the endowment.

If you have already registered for the auction, "thank you!" If you haven't yet purchased your tickets, there's no reason to wait. You'll have a great time and you'll be supporting the school you love.

Middle School Open House - January 29th Presentation 6-8pm

Current 4th and 5th grade families, please put this on your calendar as it will be a great opportunity to meet all the MS teachers, hear from recent SHS graduates currently in HS, and ask any questions you may have about our amazing MS program.  Also, please invite any non-SHS families you know that are interested in making a switch for their child's middle school experience.  For these potential new families, we will also have short school tours available before and after the presentation time frame.  New families are welcome to come as early as 6pm for a tour.

Called To Protect Class

If you have not yet attended a Called to Protect Class, you have the opportunity of completing it here at Sacred Heart in the Moore Theater on Wednesday, February 5th, at 6:30 PM. All school and parish volunteers who work with children or vulnerable adults are required to complete a Called to Protect class as part of the Safe Environment Program. Register for free here. Please contact Amy Davis with any questions.

Accreditation Update

Last week we presented our completed self-study and action plan to the accreditation vising committee who had come for their pre-visit. The self-study and action plan can be found on our website along with the prior self-study and action plan from six years ago. The visiting committee is being chaired by the Assistant Superintendent of Catholic Schools from the Archdiocese of Portland. The other five members are four teachers and one principal from Catholic schools here in the Archdiocese of Seattle. The visiting committee will return for their three-day visit on February 12th.

Free Dress Opportunity

Students who attend a Mass at Sacred Heart this weekend (Saturday 5pm, Sunday 9am or 11am) in full uniform will receive a pass for free dress on Monday, January 27th.
