The Scholastic Book Fair - A Huge Success!
Over 500 books will be awarded to our library and classrooms! Mrs. Hooper wants to thank all the volunteers that help make this event such a wonderful experience for our students! Not only does the book fair provide books and materials to our school; it also helps teach the students to budget their dollars! We watch so many children bring their money in to spend on their book, or a book for their sibling, or even their teacher! Thanks to all of you for making this such a fun experience for your children and those of us lucky enough to work with them!
- Sam Parent, Book Fair Coordinator
Uniform Reminders
With the cold weather upon us, we are seeing many students wear boots to school. As a reminder, boots may only be worn with pants. Boots may be worn to school until the end of March.
I know some of the girls do not like to wear pants, another option for keeping legs warm is to wear solid white, navy, black, or hunter green tights, or navy ankle-length leggings with matching navy ankle socks under uniform skirts, skorts or jumpers.

Kindergarten 2014-2015
We have set our Kindergarten assessment dates for January 23-25th. In order to secure your preferred time slot, we will need your application in hand and will start booking assessment times/dates once we get back from Christmas break on Wednesday, January 8th. Please try to have your application in by no later than TOMORROW - December 20th. If you have a student currently in Pre-K, we do not need an application from you and we will automatically schedule their assessment time during their regular school day here at SHS.
Lost and Found - LAST CHANCE
Thank you to all the families/students that have taken time recently to check and pull their items from the closet. You still have time to check the closet as we have delayed our donation date to CARE to December 21st. All unclaimed items will be cleared from the closet after school closes TOMORROW. If you can't come in sooner, a great time to check will be as you drop off or pick up your student for the Advent Program tonight.
