The auction procurement deadline is TOMORROW, November 1st. Please help lighten the load for our amazing auction team by turning in your donated items or services valued at $100 or more or making a donation by cash or check of $100 or more. If you procure or donate by tomorrow, November 1st, your child will receive free dress on November 21st...and what kid doesn't love that!

If you need a suggestion for procurement, give Theresa Daigle in the Development Office, a phone call or you can make a cash donation of $100 and cross it off your list. Thank you for your generous support! - Mr. Burroughs

Conference Thank You

Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules last week to attend the Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences. We hope you were pleased with what your student/s shared with you - what they were most proud of in the school year and what they are going to work on during the remainder of the trimester. Please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher/s at any time during the school year if you have questions or input regarding your child's classroom experience. As partners in your child's overall education, we are there to help in whatever way we can.  - Ms. Gray and Mr. Burroughs

Talent Show Lunch

Our annual talent show will take place at lunch next Friday, November 8th. It's shaping up to be a terrific show. All families are invited to attend. As in the past, the students will be sitting on the floor to eat. Please do not send a lunch for your child that needs to be heated or needs hot water. There will be too many people in the gym for the microwave and hot water dispenser to be used. Also, in order to keep our time together safe for our students with allergies please do not send any peanut butter or food containing nuts or peanuts in your child's lunch on that day.

Thank you. - Mr. Burroughs

Daylight Savings Time Ends This Weekend

A reminder to set your clocks one hour back this Sunday @ 2am - Fall Back and get an extra hour of sleep!

Too Much Halloween Candy? Ship it to the Troops!!!!

The England Family will collect your unwanted Halloween candy & ship it to the Troops in Afghanistan.  Our local VFW sends about 100 boxes of donated goods to the Troops on the front lines every month and we like to remind them of home as much as we can.  This is the best time of the year to ship chocolate - so drop all your extra candy in the VFW Halloween box in the front office this Friday.  Feel free to also drop cards/letters/drawings for the soldiers in too!

Poinsettia/Wreath Sale

Forms went home with each student or click here and print. Please submit your order by November 4th.

Pink, White or Red Poinsettias are 6.5 inches in decorative pots and sell for $15.

Wreaths are 24" and mixed green will sell for $25.

Items will be available for pick-up at the SHS Gym on Thursday, December 5th and Friday, December 6th.

Thank you for supporting the 8th Grade Graduates.

Car stickers are available in the front office again. Stop by to get yours today!

After School Academic Assistance

All of our teachers have at least two days each week after school set aside to help students who are struggling either with a particular assignment or with a subject (many also meet with students before school and/or during lunch). In order to ensure that this time is used effectively, please do not send students for after school academic assistance who are not in that teacher's class (i.e., siblings). Siblings who are not in that class will be sent to ESS. Also, please do not send students to their class as just a place to start on homework. The teachers are there to provide specific help for students who need it. Thank you for your cooperation. - Mr. Burroughs

Seventh and Eighth Grade Dance

Student Council will be hosting their first dance of the school year on Friday, Nov. 8th from 6:30-9:00pm. Students may come in Halloween costumes, but it is not required. As a reminder, all costumes must follow the guidelines for Non-Uniform Days; any questions should be directed to Ms. Gray.

Open House - November 12th

Sacred Heart's annual Open House will be held this year on Tuesday, November 12th from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for you to invite friends, neighbors, and relatives to come and see our school community. Prospective families will have the opportunity to learn more about our school and the admissions process. The evening will include guided campus tours and teachers in grades pre-kindergarten, Kindergarten, 1-5th grades will be available to speak to families about their programs. Please contact Susana Knapp if you know a family interested in SHS as she would love to speak with them, personally send them an invitation, and watch for them that evening. Your friends are some of our best future SHS families! Also, if you would like to be a Parent Tour Guide that evening, please contact Susana and she will be so happy to have you in this fun and special role! Training will take place earlier that same day and she will let you know details accordingly.

Microsoft Giving

October is the month of giving at Microsoft Corporation and they are making it even easier for you to support Sacred Heart School. Microsoft is offering to match Volunteer Service Hours by paying $17/per hour for every hour volunteered, with only a minimum of four hours. Many of our parents are CYO coaches or volunteers for recess duty, the health room or library - this is another great way to give back to Sacred Heart School by continuing to do what you already do! Simply click on this link to log your volunteer hours.

As always, thank you for thinking of Sacred Heart School for your time, talent and treasure. If you have any questions, please e-mail Theresa Daigle, Development Director, or call 425-451-1773 ext. 107.
