Auction Procurement - We Need You!

The Auction procurement deadline is next week, November 1st. Please help our amazing auction team with their work by procuring items or services valued at $100 or more. By meeting this deadline, you allow our auction team to focus on other aspects of the event instead of making reminder phone calls and e-mails.

The auction is our most important fundraiser each year. We rely upon it being successful in order to fund the programs and people that make your child's education complete. In order to be successful, our parent volunteers need you to do your part.

Your child is counting on you, too. Not only does the auction support the activities that he or she loves, but if you procure by November 1st, your child will receive free dress on November 21st...and what kid doesn't love that!

If you need a suggestion for procurement, give Theresa Daigle in the Development Office, a phone call or you can make a cash donation of $100 and cross it off your list. Thank you for your generous support!

- Mr. Burroughs

Reserved Parking Spaces

Every year at the gala auction two parking spaces are part of our live auction. This past year the Lincoln and Vipond families generously purchased these spaces for use by their families. We are grateful to them and the families who have purchased these spaces in years past. Please respect these spaces when you are parking. We ask that you not park in the spaces marked for the Lincoln and Vipond families, even for just a few minutes. Happily, we have added three "visitor" spaces this year in between the two auction spaces for people who need to come in for a quick stop at the school (e.g., dropping off a lunch, picking up a sick child from the health room, picking up your scrip order). Thank you for your cooperation. - Mr. Burroughs

Open House - November 12th

Sacred Heart's annual Open House will be held this year on Tuesday, November 12th from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for you to invite friends, neighbors, and relatives to come and see our school community. Prospective families will have the opportunity to learn more about our school and the admissions process. The evening will include guided campus tours and teachers in grades pre-kindergarten, Kindergarten, 1-5th grades will be available to speak to families about their programs.  Please contact Susana Knapp if you know a family interested in SHS as she would love to speak with them, personally send them an invitation, and watch for them that evening.  Your friends are some of our best future SHS families!  Also, if you would like to be a Parent Tour Guide that evening, please contact Susana and she will be so happy to have you in this fun and special role!  Training will take place earlier that same day and she will let you know details accordingly.

Lost and Found

Our closet is overflowing with un-marked clothing, lunch boxes, water bottles, and school items.  These conference days are the perfect opportunity to check the Lost and Found closet either while waiting for your conference turn or after meeting with your teacher.   Note all marked school clothes are delivered on a pretty regular basis back to your child's classroom.  The closet is located in the gym foyer right in front of the art room.

Student Council Veteran's Day Assembly

Microsoft Giving

October is the month of giving at Microsoft Corporation and they are making it even easier for you to support Sacred Heart School. Microsoft is offering to match Volunteer Service Hours by paying $17/per hour for every hour volunteered, with only a minimum of four hours. Many of our parents are CYO coaches or volunteers for recess duty, the health room or library - this is another great way to give back to Sacred Heart School by continuing to do what you already do! Simply click on this link to log your volunteer hours.

As always, thank you for thinking of Sacred Heart School for your time, talent and treasure. If you have any questions, please e-mail Theresa Daigle, Development Director, or call 425-451-1773 ext. 107.

From Parents Club

We are excited to report that over 70 cars have signed up to be decorated and handout goodies at Sacred Heart's first Trunk or Treat event on October 30!

If you are planning on decorating your car and handing out candy please come with candy and car decorations between 5-5:30pm to the lower lot. The lot will close at 5:30 - 6:00pm for car preparation. If you are planning to attend the event but not decorate your car, park in the upper lot. Trunk or Treat is from 6-7pm.   Don't forget your flashlights

There is no need to register for this event if you're not decorating your car.

Please note: This event will have a wide variety of treats many will have nuts. If your student has a nut allergy and is looking for nut free treats, there will be several cars distributing candy that is nut free. These cars will be located in various places in the parking lot amongst all the other cars, not in one single spot; they will have signs on them for easy recognition by the trunk or treaters. Please review all candy given that night to make it a safe and fun event for your child.

Calling All Box Tops

We want your General Mills box tops to support our school. The best way to submit your box tops is to download and print this pdf, affix your box tops to it, and then turn them in to the school office. Every box top counts as we work toward more playground equipment.
