School Office Hours
The school office is open during the summer from 9am - 2pm each weekday. If you need to drop something off at the school outside of these times, you may deposit it into the secure mail drop box to the left of the main doors.
New Staff Members!
I am happy to announce that Julie Thoensen, the pre-kindergarten instructional assistant for the first three years of our program has been hired to be our new pre-kindergarten teacher. She is looking forward to continuing and building up on the outstanding program that she and Mary Davis have built.
Dan Sarlitto, who taught a variety of middle school subjects (including science, math and religion) will be taking over 5 out of the six science classes in middle school next year (8th, 7th, and one 6th). Science is his real passion and he is excited to be concentrating in this field.
Marissa Ward will be joining us to teach math to our middle school students. She comes to us from five years of teaching at the Catholic high school in Reno, Nevada and eight years of math teaching before that, including teaching math to college students. Marissa is a native of Washington, having attended both All Saints School in Puyallup and Bellarmine Prep in Tacoma.
Annual Used Uniform Sale - August 6th 4:00-6:30pm
We welcome you and your kids to drop by the school lobby on Tuesday, August 6th for a great opportunity to purchase used uniform pieces for $5/a piece. We will have our whole inventory available and it will be a great opportunity to get a great deal on gently used sweatshirts, plaid items and a handful of shorts, pants, and polo shirts. Doors will open at 4:00pm until 6:30pm. Cash or Checks Only. It will also be a great time to catch up with Sacred Heart friends. If you are not able to come that afternoon, please know our used uniform closet is accessible all year long. Just stop by the front desk and ask Kerry for the key during regular school hours or from 9:00am-2:00pm on most summer days.
Buddy Family Event - August 6th 4:00-6:30pm
Hello to all our families involved in this wonderful aspect of our Sacred Heart community. Mentors and First Year families, we welcome you to the school during the Used Uniform sale as a great way to get to know each other and other Sacred Heart families. Be sure to check in at our Buddy Program table that will be located at the front entrance of the school, grab a nametag, and a little treat for your kids! We hope for nice weather and an opportunity for playtime at the upper lot play toy as you mingle and possibly find some uniform pieces that will work for your child. We hope to see most of you there! Sacred Heart School Sweatshirts
When ordering your school sweatshirts online, please note that if you want to have the sweatshirt embroidered with your child's name (which is a great idea) you must call Lands' End customer service at 800-469-2222 to assist you. Our school number for order your uniforms is 900085846.
Summer Math and Reading
The summer vacation is about half over now, which means there are plenty of glorious days of rest ahead. But it also means that it is important to stay up to date on your child's summer math and reading work. These programs are designed to help keep your child's skills sharp over the summer so that he or she can start the new school year ready to learn.
