Auction
I can hardly believe that the auction is upon us! I am greatly looking forward to a fun and exciting evening. I know that the auction team has a wonderful party planned for us all and there are a variety of terrific items for bidding (including the opportunity to have dinner with and prepared by Fr. Steve and a flower-arranging party with Fr. Steve that include Kate Spade vases to take home). I am very proud of all of the work that went into this auction and grateful to everyone who has helped to get it to this point. I look forward to seeing you all there on Saturday, ready to have fun and spend generously in support of your children and our school.
Laissez le bon temps roullez! - Mr. Burroughs
Auction Fund-a-Need
Your support of the Fund-a-Need will allow us to make necessary upgrades to our security cameras and intercom system, classroom computers and network, and science instructional technology. These improvements are especially important as we prepare for our accreditation next year.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to make a commitment to the next 60 years of Sacred Heart School with your contribution to the school's endowment. Our endowments are currently about $750,000. One of the goals of our five year strategic plan (which is wrapping up this year) is to raise our endowment to $1 million. With your help we can reach that benchmark and beyond.
Scrip Orders
Scrip orders placed after Wednesday of this week (February 6th) will not be filled until we return from Mid-Winter Break on February 25th.
Lent
Lent begins next week with Ash Wednesday. During the season of Lent all students in grades 2-8 will have the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation at school. Also, the school will be sponsoring a Lenten Movie Series on Saturday evenings. Some movies will be appropriate for adults, but at least one will be a family movie. Please watch for a special bulletin next week with more details and a link to RSVP. - Mr. Burroughs
