Dr. Cohen Studies in Poland
Dr. Richard Cohen recently received a certificate of completion in the course, "Early Diagnostics and Therapy of Developmental Delays according to the Munich Model." The one week course conducted in Krakow, Poland at the Child Center on Developmental Delays reviewed the normal and abnormal development of newborns through age three. The Munich Program evaluates the movement, social, emotional, and speech development of the growing child. Dr. Cohen, who is the only chiropractor in the world certified by the International Vojta Society for the evaluation and treatment of movement disorders in children and adults according to Vojta, has now received education in the further assessment and treatment of the child who is delayed or at risk of developing delays. The Munich program utilizes Vojta therapy in the assessment and treatment of movement delays in newborns, and it expands Dr. Cohen's understanding of the emotional, social, and speech development of the child. This education allows our clinic to provide a type of care that is only available from a handful of practitioners in North America, and the only one in Pennsylvania. If you have a child who you believe is delayed in their development, please contact Dr. Cohen to set up a comprehensive evaluation of your baby.

Video of the Month
This month's video is a great warm up and mobility drill for the shoulder before an exercise session. Master trainer Eric Cressey explores four safe and effective moves that will prepare you for a workout. Best of all, these movements are safe for the spine and can be very effective in non-athletes as well. Try this at home and, if you need advice, we can check your technique at the next visit.

What Else Do You Treat?
Chiropractic care has long been associated with the treatment of back pain, neck pain, and headaches. While these are some of the most common ailments that come into our clinic we are also highly trained to treat any bone, joint, muscle, or nerve problem. We commonly treat shoulders, elbows, feet, hands, knees, hips, ankles, and many other injuries. Our special clinical training also makes us an excellent choice for the treatment and rehabilitation of sports injuries. In addition, we also treat worker's compensation and auto injuries and will work with your employer or attorney to assure you receive the best outcome. Please also remember that we take all major insurance types including Medicare and all our services can be accessed without a referral.
