Last Week for the 'Name that Bus' Facebook Contest! 

 

It is your last chance to name one of the two new vehicles joining the WDSRA fleet. They join Lightening, Junior, Vito, Bubba and Snowhite.

 

All suggestions must come through the WDSRA Facebook page by 7/26. Starting 7/27, voting on the top 5 names begins. Winning names will be announced at the Mini Golf event August 2nd. (See details above). Winners will receive a summer prize bag!

WDSRA is Hiring for Rec & Roll!  

 

apply now button WDSRA has a position open for a male Rec & Roll program staff. Rec & Roll is a community-based recreation adult day program for post-transition adults. It emphasizes leisure independence, social interaction, community outings and service projects.  

 

Your role as program staff includes: 

* implementation of daily activities
* supervision of participants with disabilities
* emphasizing independence for participants
* showing positive encouragement
* communication with parents, guardians and other staff

 

The ideal candidate is a leader, flexible, creative, organized, disciplined, positive, takes pride in their work, and is a team player. Must possess the ability to engage in activities requiring physical exertion.

 

Programs currently run in Carol Stream, Glen Ellyn and Naperville Monday thru Friday, 9am to 2pm. Location for this position is to be determined. This is a year-round program.

July is Park and Recreation Month! 

 

Park and Recreation month logo July marks 30 years of Park and Recreation Month. WDSRA is proud to join our member park districts in celebrating the enduring importance of parks and recreation for all of us.

Parks were created to serve the people--to give them a place to appreciate nature, exercise, socialize and have fun. This mission lives on and will continue to intensify into the future. This July, let's celebrate the past, present and future of parks and recreation!

WDSRA is a cooperative extension of the following park districts: Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Roselle, Warrenville, West Chicago, Wheaton and Winfield.

LAST Special Needs Swim Night at Centennial Beach 

 

Centennial Beach logo This is the last special needs swim night of the season. Families with individuals who have special needs are invited to enjoy a relaxing evening after the regular operating hours of Centennial Beach. The shallow end of the slide will be open too.

Sunday, July 26th
6:30-8pm

Centennial Beach
500 W. Jackson Ave., Naperville 

 

No registration is required. Cost is $3 per person at the door or you may apply your membership toward entry. You do not need to be a Naperville resident to participate.
