Voting by Mail for November Election

All Lake County registered voters, including students away at school and traveling snowbirds, who choose to vote by mail in the Nov. 4 election may visit LakeVoterPower.info to complete an electronic request or download a paper ballot application. Requests may also be made by contacting the Voting by Mail Department via e-mail at VotingByMail@lakecountyil.gov or by calling 847.377.2406.

Each web visitor will need to confirm their voter registration status at LakeVoterPower.info and click on the "Request a Ballot by Mail" tab. Voters may choose to complete an electronic request which requires no paper form or signature. Those who do not wish to have their email address shared with political campaigns may complete, print, sign, and mail the paper form.

Illinois law requires each person voting by mail to complete a separate request for ballot for every election before receiving a ballot. Ballots will be mailed beginning September 25, pending certification of candidates and adequate time to print election ballots.

The last day to request a ballot by mail is Oct. 30. The voted ballot must be returned with a postmark no later than Nov. 3, the day prior to Election Day. The "Track My Ballot" feature at LakeVoterPower.info allows voters to confirm their voted ballot has been received by the Clerk's office.
