Voting by Mail Began February 6
WAUKEGAN, Illinois - County Clerk Willard Helander announced that registered voters may now submit a request for a ballot by mail for the March 18th Primary. While Illinois law requires a separate request for ballot at each election prior to mailing a voter a ballot, voters may now complete an electronic request without signing a form.
The new law also requires state election officials to share the email addresses of all voters using the new E-request option with campaign committees and political organizations. Visit LakeVoterPower.info and use the "Request Ballot by Mail" link to complete the new E-request for a ballot.
Voters may prevent publication of their email address by printing the online form and mailing it or calling 847.377.2406 to receive the form by mail. The official ballot is not permitted to be sent electronically, but is delivered via the U.S. Postal Service.
Those choosing to vote by mail can visit LakeVoterPower.info and use the "Track My Ballot" option to confirm their voted ballot has been received by the Clerk's office. Voted ballots must be returned to the Clerk's office with a postmark no later than March 17, the day prior to Election Day.
