Grace Period Voter Registration for February Primary

WAUKEGAN, Illinois - Grace period registration for North Chicago, Waukegan, and Waukegan Township residents is available until February 23 at the Lake County Clerk's office, Room 101, 18 N. County Street, Waukegan. The Clerk's office will be open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday hours will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, residents of their precinct for 30 days before Election Day, 18 years old on or before the election, and provide two forms of identification. Those who register under the grace period provision must vote at the time of registration.

The February 26 Consolidated Primary in the cities of North Chicago and Waukegan as well as Waukegan Township is a primary for only Democratic candidates because no contested Republican candidates or nonpartisan public questions were certified for the election.
