* * * SND 2015 Donation Receipt Announcement * * *
This is an advanced notice to donors that their 2015 personalized tax receipts will be coming to their inboxes on or before the 31st of this month! With postal rates increasing again and again, sending most letters via email saves us at least $900 every year! We always think of these costs in terms of how much money it takes to help a Doberman in need - Saves $$, Helps Dobes!! If you have an email you can share, please do let us know donations@doberman911.org.
If you made a donation in 2015, you will be receiving a personalized plain-text email from donations@doberman911.org which contains your receipt - please be sure not to delete this email. Please keep in mind that the IRS does not require special documentation for any donation made which is under $250 (any single donation, not your aggregated or total donations) - your check, PayPal email or receipt from the SND Online Store for any donations is all you need. For specific advice, please consult your accountant or tax preparer. If you have any questions, you can write to us at donations@doberman911.org.

Dear SND Supporter!
As we enter our 15th year with SND activities for 2015 in the record book, we bring you our annual noteworthy news! Because of your support and donations during 2015, the following summary reports what we were able to accomplish together for our Dobermans! We are so very proud to continue our commitment to our "Every Penny Rule" - that means, 100% of donations you make are used only as designated by you! All fees needed to support our mission are funded by SND Store Sales and donations made specifically for administrative needs. How many nonprofits can claim that? At present, we can't think of any! Some spend much less than others on admin fees, others may reach well over 88%!! That's right! For some charities, as much as 88 cents out of every dollar you give goes to admin expenses such as salaries and real property and whatever is left may finally get where you thought it was going!

2015 - SND Year in Review
|
Secret Santa's 2015 Ride through Doberman Skies!! The Francine Case Memorial Bequest made the Annual Secret Santa Ride in Francine's Honor a memorable one! This was the last year Francine's bequest was available for matching donations. Because of your generosity, Secret Santa was asked to match almost $20,000 for SND Direct assistance to rescue cases and Senior Sponsorships! Dear Francine, WOW!! Our generous donors have officially emptied your wonderful bequest!! You have touched the lives of so many Dobermans - just as you did in your short life! Thank you so much dear Lady Doberman Angel! Your star will twinkle so very brightly, forever!! As some of you donors may know, Francine had been one of SND's Secret Santas while she was alive and so in her passing, she saw to it that she could do this even from beyond - and so she did!! Well done Francine - we doubled your bequest with the incentive of the matches you provided these past years!! |
Assistance to Rescue Groups. Rescue Groups remain the most impacted by the ongoing economic climate in our country. We all face the consequences of our times and so, our plan is to continue to support Rescue Groups with dollars and resources we have at our disposal - thanks to YOU!! For Rescue Groups, it remains their daily nightmare - how to save as many Dobermans as they can with their declining resources! Because of this continuing situation, SND will also continue to devote ALL of our financial resources in support of Rescue Groups. For 2015, over $74,000 was paid out for extraordinary veterinary expenses for over 65 Dobermans including 7 Seniors in the care of Rescues!!
|
Assistance to Seniors. Senior Dobermans in Rescue will remain the target of two wonderful programs. The Senior Medical Assistance Program (SMAP) and the Senior Doberman Project (SDP). SMAP finances extraordinary medical needs and the SDP lists Seniors awaiting adoption and/or seeking sponsorship. Because of the hard work of our SDP Manager (and 1st VP), Debra McMahan, and thanks to your generous donations approximately 113 different Seniors in the program were sponsored - many of them receiving more than one Sponsor during the year - that's 25 more seniors than in 2014. You provided over $27,000 for the care of Senior Dobermans in Rescue an increase of over $8,000 in 2015! A total of 50 Seniors listed by the SDP were adopted during 2015 - that's 18 more than in 2014!! What a WIN-WIN for our precious Seniors - THANK YOU!!
|
Assistance to Private Owners. This part of our mission continues as we respond to private owners with information regarding financial assistance through other organizations, individual fundraising guidelines, saving money on medications and information about specific diseases or injury-related treatments as well. We will also continue to refer private owners seeking to surrender their Dobermans to Doberman Rescues in their geographical areas. Approximately 50 such requests were received and recorded this past year and the response from owners was overwhelmingly positive and grateful.

Looking Forward... Only because of your generosity In 2015, we were able to continue to assist Dobermans in Rescue needing assistance with extraordinary medical expenses!! We certainly hope you will continue to support Dobermans in need in 2016 as the SND team continues efforts to keep these programs in motion! We CAN'T do it without YOU!!
Don't forget to take a moment to visit the SND website at http://www.doberman911.org to get the latest SND news, the status of the Dobes we are helping, the Seniors in the Senior Doberman Project, the SND Store and our intermittent special eBay auctions and raffles.
THANK YOU for your support and a Happy New DobeYear 2016 to you and yours!! And, by the way, 2014 was the year in which SND surpassed the million dollar mark in its fundraising, and with your continued support in 2015, we started on our 2nd million for our precious Dobermans - almost one tenth of the next million added this year!!
