Dear Friends,

A full weekend at Incarnation, Jose's priesthood ordination, Bishop Brewer's visitation and seeing 15 people confirmed! (pictures to follow - if you have some from the weekend please send them to me)  These moments are markers in our journey together, glimpses of the Kingdom as people make vows to serve.  In the liturgies this weekend we all made promises to the Lord; to study, pray, share, sacrifice and more.  We proclaimed our faith expressed in the creeds, we lifted our voices in song worshiping the Lord, we all were blessed, some were anointed. We sat at table with a feast celebrating and giving thanks.   All these moments were rich and full of God's presence.

We think times like this are the exception and maybe in this earthly journey sadly they are. However they speak of a true reality; where there is no more death, pain, sorrow, disease; where the old things are past away and behold all things are made new. That day is coming, but for those of us who believe it is already here.  We touch it, own it by faith. Our hope is not in governments or leaders, in economies and prosperity, even in clergy, for if our hope rests upon man we will be disappointed.  Our hope is anchored in Jesus Christ and when we hope in Him we are not disappointed.

Beginning tomorrow evening on Christmas Eve we will gather again remembering, celebrating and embracing the coming of Jesus to seek and save the lost. Enter the moment as we celebrate The Feast of the Incarnation. So look, listen, pray, sturdy, seek the Lord, He is to be found in our midst, the church gathered together...
