A rich day at Incarnation today as we looked, for, longed for and glimpsed the Kingdom of God. (You can listen to the sermon - Click Here)   We often talk of our faith as a journey and specifically seasons of the church year as having an intentional cadence as we walk in the the ways of the Lord.   In the days of Advent we have been hoping and longing for redemption and salvation.  For God to reconcile all things to himself.   Think of all the broken things in this world: violence, hatred; greed, families, broken economies, polluted environments, malice, slander, dishonesty, lust and the list could go on.  We are told in the lessons throughout the Advent season that all things will be made new and we are taught to desire the Kingdom. 

The Kingdom was prophesied in the Old Testament and it is inaugurated at the incarnation, life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus. The Kingdom continues in these days in this world through the one holy, catholic and apostolic church.  We await the consummation of the Kingdom of God in the second coming of Christ.  This is our sure hope, look up your redemption draws near...
