Dear Friends,

Sorry this is a day late - several things squeezed it out of it usual slot.  As I have said numerous times it is good to be home and I can especially say that after Sunday. I got several notes thanking me for the apples, some with pictures of apple pies! Worshiping with the saints at Incarnation is a highlight each week and each time we gather. May God continue to pour out His Spirit upon us, empowering us to do His will!  

We are entering that busy and I hope meaningful Holiday season. (I have seen Christmas decorations and been hearing Christmas music since early October) There will be parties and dinners, functions to attend, gifts to buy and wrap, cards to write and send, decorations to be put up and friends and family to visit.  In the church there will music to rehearse, decorations to display, pageants to prepare and much more as we get closer to the Feast of the Incarnation.  The list of activity can be long and detailed. As we enter fully into this season I ask you to prepare your hearts for an Advent journey.  Advent is a season of preparation, one where we move from darkness to light as we contemplate the coming of Christ into this world (both his first coming to seek and save the lost and His mighty second coming to consummate His Kingdom)  We are to be alert, pay attention, look and listen.  In doing this we anticipate with joy the coming of the Lord...

This year we are hosting the Community Thanksgiving Service on November 26th at 7pm in the main building at Canterbury.   This is put on by the Oviedo Minister's Association and this is the first year we are involved.  We need some help with welcoming folks, some set-up and ushers.  If you want to volunteer please contact Fr. INCARNATION's Thanksgiving Service is 10am on Thursday (Thanksgiving Day) in the Chapel.

Christmas in the City is coming... Incarnation has involved the beginning of this event in our community. This year you can volunteer, support and give and make a difference in the lives of people who struggle for the basic needs of life.  We will soon have HOPE TREES in the back of the church where you can take a card and provide food / clothes / toys / and more.  For more details CLICK HERE and  For more information contact Deacon Dick

Carla's retreats are quiet, contemplative spaces designed to take people deeper into God's presence. She is a gifted speaker and retreat leader. The topic of this retreat is one in which Carla wrote a book about and one in which she has profound insights.  It will enrich this year's celebration of Incarnation for sure!  The cost is $89.00 for the day which includes 2 meals.   If you want to go and have trouble with the cost please see me - there are scholarships available - We do not want money to be a reason someone does not attend.
