Dear Friends,
 I met David Baroni a few years ago and later had the privilege to meet his wife Rita at a conference in 2010. I became friends with them both on Facebook. At some point I had a conversation with David online hoping there would come a time when he would minister at Incarnation / Canterbury. Through some wonderful, generous circumstances that time has come.
David and Rita have been on the Canterbury campus since Monday and after a few conversations and the service last night I want to encourage, implore, request, urge and whatever other adjective would fit for you to join us this weekend in worship and be blessed by their ministry. I know we are all busy and yet that is not an excuse. We need a place to fall off the frantic grid we so often run in and find that quiet place of prayer, reflection, renewal and true communion with God. I have a lot of places like that in my life, I have found it essential to being a priest and pastor. There are places where I have been led by the Holy Spirit to carve out a cleft in a rock. There are places where I have discovered, "Surely the LORD is in this place-and I did not know it!" (Genesis 28:16) In the last few days I have discovered another such place under the ministry of David and Rita Baroni.

So if you are a member of Incarnation I request you make every effort to be at one of the three services this weekend. Remember we are launching a new Saturday service on September 14th at 5pm (Vespers and Eucharist) Sunday services are at 8 am and 10:15am. If you are not a member of Incarnation I would encourage you if you can join us in one of the moments of worship and ministry with David and Rita.
David and Rita have a few books and several CD's available while he is with us this weekend. I have most of them and will probably round out my collection this weekend. You can check David's website at www.davidbaroni.com
If for some reason you cannot find your way to Incarnation this weekend, my prayer is you find that sacred space where you can "Be still, and know that 'he is' God!" (Psalms 46:10)
