The Collect / Proper 10
Almighty God, the fountain of all wisdom, you know our necessities before we ask and our ignorance in asking: Have compassion on our weakness, and mercifully give us those things which for our unworthiness we dare not, and for our blindness we cannot ask; through the worthiness of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. AMEN.

Dear Friends,
This week I was reacquainted with an early Jesus Music album by Ron Salsbury and the JC Power Outlet. What a hoot! Love the album and think the picture is a sermon all by itself. You can listen to the album on YOU TUBE... http://youtu.be/Y7Wy91fgAVE
We have a lot starting up in the next month or so. Classes, Bible Studies, Special Services, opportunities to serve and fellowship, a new Saturday evening service. You can read about some of what we will be doing Click Here for a PDF. You can hear all about these moments and more at our fellowship breakfast on Sunday, August 4th at 9am in the Canterbury Dining Room. Karen Mohammed will lead a marketing effort - if you want to help get the word out contact her at Karen@canterburyretreat.org
When I look at Incarnation, who we are and what we do, I believe God is calling us to be a bright light in this community. There is a mission we are to fulfill, a task we are to accomplish and at its foundation it is quite simple... We are to love God with all we are; love each other the way Jesus loves us; share that love in this world. Each one of us has a part to play, a task to do. Early on in my faith as a new Christian I would hear people say, "God gave me a burden for..." (You can fill in the blank). What does that mean? I believe The Lord will compel us at times to prayer and action in order to be an agent of change. I am praying God would "burden" us with love for our families, neighbors, co-workers, fellow students - people who need to hear the Gospel; I pray for a growing love for this community, our diocese, our state, our nation and the whole world. In all these things may the Lord give us the power of the Holy Spirit to be his witnesses...
