Dear Friends,
What a full and wonderful adventure we had in Holy Week and Easter Joy on Sunday. Celebrations, New Fire in the Vigil, Flowering the Cross, Holy Baptism and Holy Eucharist were all rich moments and I pray they will bear fruit for the Kingdom of God in us and through us. I am grateful for all who worked so hard to cover all the bases and to get all the logistics / details done. It was a blessed time. Something new this year was the community Easter Egg Hunt we sponsored. Pastor Robin and the Easter Bunny... Not sure what the final numbers were but a couple folks have remarked that they thought it was 200+ people, with over half of them coming from outside the church. This event did what we hoped in letting folks know we are here. It is easy to feel hidden away on the Canterbury Campus and many folks commented they never knew what Canterbury was and that there was a church here and they had lived in the Oviedo area for a long time.Great thanks to all those who worked hard to make this event happen; especially Lydia Pierce who rallied the troops into the varied activities, duties and needs. See more pictures from the day CLICK HEREThis Sunday, April 7th, we will have some special guests in our service Kings Kids. This is a ministry I worked with back in my college days and it has since be reborn in a new generation of young people eager to share the Gospel through service, testimonies, music, drama and more. You can check them out CLICK HERE This will be a special Sunday and I encourage to come and share in the fun. Easter continues with joy and hope. join us... in the Mission, Fr. Jon+
