The Collect for Monday
     in Holy Week
Almighty God, whose most dear Son went not up to joy but first he suffered pain, and entered not into glory before he was crucified: Mercifully grant that we, walking in the way of the cross, may find it none other than the way of life and peace; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.  Amen.

Pastor's Class in Easter Season
Sunday mornings at 9am - in the living room.
Scott & Cheryl Berg will teach on the book of Ephesians which is the most heavenly-minded of Paul's epistles, teaching us to approach life on earth from our heavenly perspective in Christ.  The letter also focuses on church life, Christian unity, and spiritual warfare.  Join them; you'll be richly blessed!
Dear Friends,

We begin a familiar journey for many of us as we step into Holy Week.  (Click Here to see pictures from Palm Sunday)  There is a rush of activity with eight services and events from Thursday evening through Easter Sunday.   Help is still needed for Good Friday Stations of the Cross and on Holy Saturday in the Community Easter Egg Hunt (see below - who to contact to volunteer)

Specifically you can ask friends, neighbors, colleagues and co-workers to come and join in the Easter Fun (especially the Easter Egg Hunt)  - hand out flyers / broadcast in the social media let's be joyfully surprised by the number that attend.

I hope we will all take this opportunity to focus, reflect, ponder, pray, and simply enter in to these moments as we reenact the drama of our great redemption.  Clear your calendar, come to services, come to the campus, find a place to be still.  From our reading from Philippians 2 on Sunday... he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death-- even death on a cross.  Jesus invites us into His passion, as it says later in Philippians 3... To share in the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming like Him in His death that I might attain to the resurrection from the dead.  There are lots of ways to respond to this invitation.  You can do so personally in your own devotion and piety.  The church, the Body of Christ corporately responds with specific prayers and services.  Regardless, to get to Easter morning the path leads through the cross.

(On Easter Sunday there will be no Christian Formation Classes)

We will start work soon on a new directory - look for a link soon.

So plug-in, volunteer, pray, get involved, share, serve, give there is much happening...

in the Mission,
Fr. Jon+
