The Collect for the Fifth Sunday in Lent
Almighty God, you alone can bring into order the unruly wills and affections of sinners: Grant your people grace to love what you command and desire what you promise; that, among the swift and varied changes of the world, our hearts may surely there be fixed where true joys are to be found; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

A Request from your Vicar...
We live in an age of technology and most people are communicating through Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and more.  I know that the way people will find us initially is on the Web.  I would ask two things.

First when there is an announcement, update, link would you regularly put it on the social media use.  This will help promote what we are doing. Secondly if you want to help increase our web presence for both Incarnation and Canterbury and are willing to post and maintain some accounts on behalf of the church please let me know.
Johnny and Jon
Dear Friends,

What a great Sunday!   We were blessed with the preaching of a life long friend The Rev. Johnny Pierce. (Click Here for the Sermon)  Johnny was a senior my first year at Berry and I have followed him (the last few years on Facebook)   He is insightful and thoughtful in his following of Christ and I commend his ministry to you.   http://www.johndpierce.com and http://www.baptiststoday.org
Johnny quoted in his sermon a post from Rachel Evans worth further contemplation - Click Here

Next week Sunday we begin Holy Week with Palm Sunday on March 24th.  You can see the full Holy Week Schedule of services below. May these days find us contemplating deeply the passion of Jesus, His life, His suffering and death, His mighty resurrection.

There are lot's of places to get involved, to share in the work of this growing ministry.  The weeks ahead will be full of activities as we move toward Holy Week and Easter.

One particular opportunity will be the Easter Egg Hunt, this is the first time we are doing this for the community and we need to get the word out. For the PDF Flyer to share with friends CLICK HERE and check out this link... Click Here   Community Easter Egg Hunt / Saturday March 30th (Holy Saturday) 10am- 12noon on the main campus at Canterbury.  This is a family friendly event and we need help with all the things we will do from food and refreshments, crafts, activities, hospitality and more.  We will even have special season guest :-).   The details are still being planned and Lydia Pierce is organizing the details currently but we need a lot of help!  Contact Lydia clpierce1106@earthlink.net

Flower Guild - In Lent we do not do flowers but that will change on Easter Sunday (March 31st) and there is a need for folks to help in this aspect of our worship.  It may seem daunting to some but Roseddy Montgomery will help train people and you can contact her for more information roseddyb@gmail.com

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd - needs teacher assistants and this is an amazing ministry to our children and I think folks who participate learn as much as the kids (if not more)  Contact Jada Kearns for more jadakearns@hotmail.com

Stations of the Cross for Families and Children - On Good Friday, March 29 at 4pm this has been a fixture in our Holy Week schedule since we began and it is a means of engaging the community in the passion of Jesus walking with Him to the cross.   The youth group is taking the lead but this is an opportunity to lend a hand and get involved.   Contact Brett Spencer

The Centrality of the Cross
This Sunday will be the final installment and one of the most powerful points about the Centrality of the Cross and even if you have missed a few lessons (or even al of them)  This one short lesson on the Implications of the Cross is worth you time  You can read about Mike at... http://mikeatkinsministry.com/1-about.htm

Wednesdays in Lent we will have a soup supper and Lenten Prayer Meeting in the St. Augustine Chapel. (supper at 6pm / Prayer Meeting at 6:30pm)  It is a time to gather and fellowship and to pray and share in the Eucharist. The goal is to create a quiet, contemplative space where we give God our undivided attention.
