Our Advent journey continues...

Dear Friends,

We had a full and wonderful weekend with our first Canterbury Christmas Coffee House with David Teems (www.davidteems.com).  Special thanks to Jim, Brett, Sherise,Teri, Stacey, James and all those who worked to make the evening special with all the lights, luminaries, candles, decorations, cappuccinos, lattes, goodies and more.  
St. Nicholas made a visit and David blessed us with renditions of some classics and a few seasonal favorites.  We are looking to making this a regular fixture in our calendar.

We are working with Mission Java, (www.missionjava.com ) selling their coffee that goes to support gospel mission around the world. It is "fair trade coffee" freshly roasted and of great quality.  If you are interested in purchasing some coffee contact Jim Morical (jim@canterburyretreat.org)

Sunday brought a great day of worship (click here for the sermon and some music from David Teems) and fellowship as we gathered around a spaghetti luncheon provided by the youth group raising funds for the ADVENT-ure Retreat this weekend. Pray for us as we journey to Camp Greenville and wind our way through the North Carolina Mountains. 

These days can be particularly full. Shopping, planning, cooking, details and lists may we take time to consider the hope coming our way - hope that will be fulfilled in wonder at the birth of our Savior!
