The Collect for the 21st Sunday after Pentecost / Proper 24
Almighty and everlasting God, in Christ you have revealed your glory among the nations: Preserve the works of your mercy, that your Church throughout the world may persevere with steadfast faith in the confession of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

"and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
I ask us as a church to pray for our nation.
Prayer for an election...
Almighty God, to whom we must account for all our powers and privileges: Guide the people of the United States in the election of our President and other officials and representatives; that, by faithful administration and wise laws, the rights of all may be protected and our nation be enabled to fulfill your purposes; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Dear Friends, Do we know Jesus? I challenged us on Sunday in the sermon ( Click Here) to think about this... Do we know the authentic Messiah who came to be a servant and give His life as a ransom for many. As described by Isaiah, a suffering servant - stricken, crushed, bruised, afflicted, infirm, burdened, who by His suffering brings us redemption. Watch this Video if you want to know more... | | HTB Alpha Week 2: Who is Jesus? 3rd October 2012 |
This comes from the ALPHA program which might be something we want to do as a church in the future. May we all grow in our faith, knowledge, passion and love for Jesus day by day...
in the mission,
Fr. Jon+
