1) NEW BAND: THE PSYKE PROJECT

Magnificent Music started out back in 2006 with focus on the Danish psychedelic rock scene. Our goal was, and still is, to present thebest Danish retro and psychedelic rock bands. Anders, our agent in Copenhagen, has always had one foot in retro rock, and the other foot in metal. The signing of HELHORSE last year was a first step in building a roster of hand picked cross-over and metal bands. The next addition to this part of the roster is ready, and we are proud and stoked to welcome THE PSYKE PROJECT, a Copenhagen five-piece who already have built quite a name for themselves through extensive touring DIY-style the last 10 years. THE PSYKE PROJECT seek to create an intense and chaotic sound consisting of heavy riffs and epic passages, in which the music is best described as harsh metal ranging from crust to post hardcore. Having previously released four albums and one split album (together with As We Fight) and toured Europe and the UK several times, THE PSYKE PROJECT have gained a large and dedicated following and are considered one of the best live acts in Denmark. THE PSYKE PROJECT keep pushing the boarders for modern metal and are ready to release their fifth album in spring 2013. The album was recorded live by Jacob Bredahl (Hatesphere, Last Mile, The Kandidate) in his Dead Rat Studio in Aarhus over the course of just one week. We represent THE PSYKE PROJECT in Central Europe and Scandinavia (excl. Denmark), and we are looking for relevant summer festivals, as well as club and festival shows for fall 2013.

We have discovered a new band, kept listening to their albums over and over again and did sign them for them our roster without hesitating! SPIRITS OF THE DEAD from Norway play epic Prog-Psych-Rock with a modern sound. The band's music has an idiosyncratic sound and feels distinctly nordic. With epic song structures and a great range of stylistic variety the band's artistic development so far -- as witnessed on three recorded studio albums -- does remind us strongly on fellow Norwegians Motorpsycho. Check out the song Goldberry as a prime example of the group's highly addictive sound! While SPIRITS OF THE DEAD are only known to a group of insiders at this point we believe that the band will have a great musical future. The international press confirms this impression with raving reviews. The third studio album "Rumours Of A Presence" will be released in spring. In May SPIRITS OF THE DEAD will play the tour support for KADAVAR. A club tour of their own will follow in the autumn.

Last year Kadavar have proven that Germans can create great Retro 70s Rock too! The Proto 70s Rock made in Germany is not as sophisticated and virtous as its Swedish counterpart, but in turn we get a edgier, dirtier and more authentic groove. Now there is another band from the vital German underground to interpret the old school Heavy Rock anew: The Berlin-based quintet HEAT has released its full length debut "Old Sparky" on Electric Magic in 2012. This album offers raw Heavy Rock, Blues, Proto Metal and Psych Rock the way it had been defined by Black Sabbath back in the days! HEAT have already found many fans in the growing scene, also because the new but already experienced band features musicians who also play in Samsara Blues Experiment and Grandloom among others. The second HEAT album will be released in August 2013! We welcome HEAT to our roster and have already begun to book shows for the band.

KADAVAR have signed a label deal with Nuclear Blast and joined Proto Metal contemporaries such as Graveyard, Witchcraft and Orchid as label mates! The band's second album will be entitled "Abra Kadavar" and will be released on 05.04.2013. In March KADAVAR heads out on a three week US-tour. Wolf, Tiger and Mammut will return to European stages in April.

We are very sad to inform you that FUZZ MANTA have to cancel their entire tour due to a case of sickness! Due to acute serious illness guitarist Freddy had to undergo surgery earlier last week. He is out of the hospital again and doing well, but he will need some time to rest and recover. With only two weeks to go, there was unfortunately no way around cancelling the upcoming tour. We are very sorry for this, but we hope for your understanding. Of course we hope that Freddy will get well soon and that we'll see the group back on the road later this year! No need to cross the tour dates from your calender just yet because we are pleased to present you a worthy replacement: Our friends in SHIVAS NAT were crazy and flexible enough to jump in last minute and play the entire tour (save for two shows) from 13.02. to 23.02.! SHIVAS NAT is a new Copenhagen based psychedelic Blues- and Garage Rock band featuring Patrick Lykke Heinsøe (formerly the singer in Highway Child) as well as Morten Clod-Svensson (founding member and former bass player of FUZZ MANTA).
