New Vestry Leadership
Last night, at our first meeting of the new year, your Vestry chose leaders and areas of ministry and set some direction for the coming year. Your new Senior warden is Amy Fazackerley. Junior warden is Paul Cummins. The treasurer is Bev Bell, Assistant Treasurer is Amanda Smith and the clerk of the Vestry is Mario Costantino. Lianne LaFleur will continue to work with Outreach, Deb Crawford will work with Hospitality, and Caroline McCormack and Maria Fafard will work on Communications. Deb Crawford and Darlene Ash will work with Octoberfest, Ellen Renaud, Maria, Caroline and Caitlin Garvey will help with Welcome and Incorporation of New Members. Ellen will also help with finance.
The Vestry is charged by the church canons to care for the property and finances of the parish. Last year the Vestry did a great job of addressing the property concerns by establishing a really solid property committee. The Vestry decided last night that this year, a main focus will be on doing the same with finance.
It was a good meeting with great energy, lots of ideas and a real sense of commitment to the work of making it possible for ministry to happen here at St. Aidan's. We have strong leaders who will appreciate your support in the coming year. I give thanks for their ministry as this year's Vestry. JB

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
GODLY PLAY (age 4 through 3rd grade meets in the education room near the coat area in the Church)
This Sunday we will continue to work with parable stories as we hear the parable of the Good Samaritan.
EYOA (4th through 8th grade meets in the last room on the left through the first office door in the parish hall)
This week, this group will be thinking about music to go with the videos they made earlier in the year. Kids are invited to bring favorite music and ideas to share.
EYC (middle and high school youth group)
The youth group meets from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. for food, discussion and fun. Contact Morris to get on the group list to receive information. Day School Chapel
Sadly, no Chapel today because of the school closing. But we'll be back soon with engaging stories and songs with the kids! Up next, Mrs. Carbone's class is ready to help tell the story of teenaged Jesus in the Temple. Parents, caregivers and siblings are always welcome to join us in Chapel.
Adult Forum
This week we look at Jacob, a man divided from himself. What myths did he live by? What myths do we live by? What would wholeness look like? All this and more on Sunday. JB

There are many kinds of camps available at Shrine Mont, from a very typical summer camp experience, to art or drama camps, to sports camp, to exploration camps, to camps for kids with disabilities. What they all share, however, is the amazing setting of Shrine Mont, an incredibly loving and creative staff, and an atmosphere of faith that is sure to help every kid experience God in a new way. More information can be found here. You can also talk to Nat or Audrey Boling, Ryan or Kevin Coneway, and Sophia Rees-Hoofnagle if you want a camper's perspective.

Moms' Group Update:
White Elephant Exchange & VICHOP Plan
About a dozen moms had a great time at our annual White Elephant exchange and dinner at Christina's house. It was wonderful to see all the new faces and get to know each other.
Our next gathering will be on February 8 as we cook and serve a meal for the VICHOP hypothermia shelter. We'll gather in the St. Aidan's kitchen at 4 p.m. to cook a meal for 25 guests. Servers will transport the meal to Rising Hope at 6 p.m. and be on hand there to serve until about 8. Please RSVP to Elizabeth if you can help with cooking or serving, or if you might like to plan and shop for the menu.

Silence as Prayer - Tuesday Evenings at St. Aidan's
The invitation to gather for silent prayer continues in the new year, with a new schedule that offers a weekly opportunity to find peace in the candlelight and the quiet. We continue to offer spiritual listening on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Read here to learn more about these evenings of readings, silent time, and shared reflections.
New this year, the sanctuary is open and a candle lit on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th (when there is one) Tuesdays of each month, from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. Regular visitors to spiritual listening may welcome this additional quiet time. Those who would like time and space for silent prayer, but who are not inclined toward sharing spiritual reflections, might be drawn to these alternate Tuesday gatherings.
All are welcome. Feel free to contact Lisa Richard at 571-215-3170 if you would like to talk with someone before you come.
