Crystal Palace Has a New Look
Crystal Palace's website, www.straw.com, has been in existence since 1994. We are proud to have been one of the early adopters of the web. After more than 20 years, we decided it was time for an upgrade.
The functionality is similar in many ways to the old site, with the following improvements:
- Clean look
- Picturesque slide show on home page
- Improved navigation
- Google search engine
- "CPY News" section on home page for featured items
- "About" page with in-depth history of the company
- Improved layout of yarn cards
- Convenient pattern links from yarn pages
- Swatch images on many slow-striping yarns like Mini Mochi
- Picture indexes for both free, indie and Ann Norling patterns
- Detailed description and pictures of CP Bamboo Needles & Hooks
- More extensive shop list
To celebrate the launch of the new site, we are holding a Scavenger Hunt contest. Participants will be asked a number of questions that will need to be answered by navigating the new site. Details are below.

Indie Crochet News:
Mini Mochi & Party in Crochet! Magazine

Crochet! Magazine's special issue, Great Yarns, Great Styles in Crochet is now available for Spring 2016. Among the 37 fresh designs are two beautiful projects using Crystal Palace Yarns.
The Artistic Impressions Shawl (pictured above), designed by Cindy Adams in Mini Mochi, is aptly named. The color changes in color 316 "Equinox" are artfully impressionistic, and the floral motif is exquisite. This is a wonderful project for keeping off the spring chill while staying light and airy. A little goes a long way with this shawl; it takes just four balls to make.
A Night on the Town is an adorable 2-3 ball shrug designed by Jenny King in Party Ribbon. This is a great spring accessory, with short sleeves and open stitch. The shimmery beauty of Party Ribbon can dress up the simplest of outfits and make you stand out in a crowd.
