FREE Crochet Patterns:
Mochi Plus, Panda Pearl & Gold Rush
We continue to add new crochet patterns to our free pattern library online. This month, we have three new patterns available for our crochet fans.
The Stained Glass Scarf is stunning in Mochi Plus. It is constructed of six basic crocheted squares. The color changing occurs automatically due to the slow-striping nature of Mochi Plus. Choose a color way with a lot of contrast, like 636 "Festival" shown in the pattern, or choose a tonal color like 326 "Citron Mist" for a subtler scarf. This is a great Easy project for beginners and experienced crocheters alike. It takes three balls to make.
The Spider Lattice Stole in Panda Pearl looks great, feels great and has wonderful drape. It is an excellent intermediate project. It uses single crochet and chain stitch to produce this wonderful fabric. It is exceptional in our new Panda Pearl yarn; the sheen and super silky soft feel makes it enjoyable both to work up and to wear. This project takes two balls to make, although you can add a third skein for additional length down the back. Check out the Cotton Twirl Spider Lattice Stole and the Panda Silk Spider Lattice Scarf for more designs using this fun stitch.
If you want a quick and easy beginner crochet project, the Chain Necklace in Gold Rush is the just the one! This necklace is just a very long crocheted chain that is tied together and folded to produce eight rings. It is sewn or crocheted together at the back of the neck to keep the loops in place. Two strands of Gold Rush and a large crochet hook are used for speedy completion. It is both sparkly and very soft. I did a version in Party Ribbon single-stranded as well and love how it turned out (pattern coming soon). It takes less than one ball to make.

Indie Knit News:
Holiday Gift Ideas in Danube & Mini Mochi
There are two new, fabulous indie knitting patterns recently published online. These two designs use slow-striping Crystal Palace Yarns to add interesting color effects.
Lace on the Edge, designed by Lena Skvagerson, is stunning in Danube DK. The color 309 "Candy Store" is especially eye-popping and can coordinate with a variety of wardrobe palettes. .It is a slouch-style, ribbed hat with a very attractive, unique edging. It is a great one-ball project, especially good for a gift or for yourself to keep off the fall and winter chill. You can purchase this beautiful pattern HERE.
The second is a two-in-one pattern. Lotus by Ursa Major Knits includes directions for both a cowl and wristlets. The cowl comes in two sizes, the smaller of which can be converted to a headband as well. The cowl is done in Mini Mochi color 336 "Festival" and the wristlets are shown in 331 "Yosemite". Now through the end of the year, the designer is offering this pattern for FREE! So order your copy soon. Also, she is also offering prizes for the first three people who finish the pattern.
