Panda Pearl skein No matter what time of year it is, it is always time for knitting and crocheting with Crystal Palace!  We continue to add patterns to our free pattern library, like the Mini Mochi Mitered Eyelet Shawl and the Panda Silk Spider Lattice Scarf, and to our indie library, like the Mini Mochi Multitextural Cowl.  We love to tempt our fans with luscious yarns and colors, like our new Panda Pearl, coming soon to a store near you!

We have also updated our yarn events listing to include even more yarnie fun.  Be sure to check out one in your local area.

Panda Pearl is Almost Here!
New Yarn for Fall 2014
Panda Pearl skein
 Panda Pearl is our new yarn for Fall 2014.  It is a luxuriously soft and silky blend of bamboo, merino wool and silk, a 4-ply, dk-to-light-worsted-weight version of Panda Silk.  Panda Pearl comes in a beautiful, 100-gram skein and will be available in 11 solid colors and 8 multis.  It has lovely stitch definition and excellent drape.

The one-skein Pearly Rib Scarf is already up on our website, with more free patterns coming soon.

Fiber:  53% bamboo/42% merino wool/5% silk

Yardage:  220 yds/100 gram skein 
Gauge:  5-6 sts/inch on US 5-7 needles

Mini Mochi Mitered Eyelet Shawl
 
Mini Mochi Mitered Eyelet Shawl
The Mitered Eyelet Shawl is stunning in the new 339 "Sand Painting" color of Mini Mochi.  This shawlette features mitered diamonds with eyelet accents. Stitches are picked up as you work subsequent motifs.  The slow-striping quality of Mini Mochi looks amazing in this pattern. It takes just three balls to make.  See the larger version in Mochi Plus here.

Spider Lattice Scarf in Panda Silk

Spider Lace Scarf in Panda Silk
The Spider Lattice Scarf is a new crochet pattern available on our website. This lacy scarf has incredible drape in luxurious Panda Silk.  It features a web-like lattice design of chains and single crochet stitches that is repeated over 8 rows.   It is very light and comfortable to wear, and takes less than two balls to make.

Stay tuned to our website and upcoming Purls for a Cotton Twirl crocheted stole done in the same pattern stitch.
