The CALF is here! Join us June 13-16 for the 2nd Annual Children's Art & Literacy Festival featuring illustrator and author Walter Wick. The focus of CALF 2013 is Mr. Wick's exhibit at the NCCIL, "Games, Gizmos & Toys in the Attic". The downtown festival features six dramatic readings, art activities, petting zoos, games, live performances by Sonny the Birdman and Lonnie Chevrie, train rides, and much more! At the Center for Contemporary Arts, visitors will play the "I Spy" game with items in the all member show, "Can You See What We See?"

Other first class art activities to enjoy this month are "Singing in the Rain" June 7th & 8th and "Young Frankenstein" June 28th - 30th at the historic Paramount Theatre, and the Grace Museum's Exhibitions of Still Life Photography by Laura Picket Calfee, contemporary still life's by some of Americas most recognized artists, and drawings by Anne C. Weary. The Abilene Zoo will be kicking off it's Summer Concert series June 20th and don't forget about the Abilene Christian University Shakespeare Festival June 28th - 29th.
