Cultural Art Happenings February 2013

February might be a little chilly but we have several events that will warm your heart. Catch the last showings of W;t February 1 - 2 offered this weekend by the Abilene Community Theatre. The Abilene Ballet Theatre will perform Love in Bloom February 14th at the Paramount Theatre. Head over to Hardin Simmons University to see their production of Hello, Dolly! beginning Feb. 14th and don't forget about Broadway. Monty Python's Spamalot is coming to Abilene for one night only, February 19th, at the Abilene Civic Center.

This month also brings the beginning of the Children's Art & Literacy Festival (CALF) registration! Registration opens February 1 and several events have limited seating....so register today! The CALF has so much to offer this year: 6 dramatic readings, a presentation by Walter Wick, planetarium viewings, street vendors, performances by Lonnie Chevrie and Sonny the Birdman, and much more! Go to www.abilenecalf.com for more information and to register.
