Cultural Art Happenings October 2012

October is National Arts & Humanities Month.  It was established in 1993 and is celebrated every October in the U.S.  It was initiated to encourage Americans to explore new facets in the arts and humanities.

Please join us for our HeArts for the Arts luncheon on October 15th at the Abilene Country Club where we will celebrate the vast array of cultural offerings we are fortunate to have in Abilene.  On October 24th Abilene will host Texans for the Arts and the Pew Charitable Data Project  for an Arts Funding and Leadership Development Workshop.  We hope you will make a special effort to  join us  for these, and the many other wonderful October art events featured in this newsletter.
