Please join us as we celebrate Black History Month, and as we honor the many supporters who find a way to help us achieve our mission, to provide blood and blood products, whenever and wherever needed, in peace and in war.

 

Finally, I want to encourage everyone to share your stories with us. Our donors, volunteers, supporters, staff members, and military blood banking community are the heart and soul of our program. Let us know what you are up to, how you are making a difference and what is coming up in your area. You all are the Armed Services Blood Program!

Retired Petty Officer 1st Class Harry Beasor smiles next to his BLDDNR license plate. Beasor has recently donated his 47th unit of blood to the Armed Services Blood Program. Retired Petty Officer 1st Class Harry Beasor, a proud ASBP "BLDDNR" from Hawaii, is saving lives of service members worldwide. He's completed 47 donations, but he also has something else up his sleeve.  Read his story.

On day one of operations, office equipment at the blood donor center in Great Lakes, Ill., consisted of no more than a card table and a milk crate chair. The Long Gray Lifeline at West Point Donates 1,500 Units of Blood to ASBP

The annual West Point blood drive is officially underway.  

Rain, ice and below freezing temperatures presented some collection challenges for this year's blood drive. However, the West Point cadets were determined to make the drive a success -- and that's exactly what happened. Learn more
