From the Desk Of:
Col. Richard H. McBride, Director, ASBPO
It was a great year for the military blood banking community. The hard work and countless hours put in by our donors, volunteers, supporters and staff members worldwide allowed the ASBP to save thousands of lives this year.
The Army-Navy Blood Donor Challenge is just about complete. On Dec. 14, we will announce the winning service on the field of the much anticipated Army-Navy football game. Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's event -- your blood donations have made an enormous difference in the lives of our fellow military who are injured or ill.
The holidays are fast approaching. As many of you know, this time of year can sometimes make collecting blood a challenge. So be sure to join us this holiday season. Give blood.
Thank you to everyone who made 2013 a great year! I am eagerly looking forward to what's in store for us next year.
Happy holidays to all,
Col. Richard H. McBride
