From the Desk Of:
Col. Richard H. McBride, Director, ASBPO
In this Focal Point, we introduce you to 17-year-old Arial Marsh who has accomplished quite a bit in her life. We also take a look at a lifesaving airdrop performed by the U.S. Coast Guard, and show you the evolution of battlefield medical care in a video about the "Vampire Protocol."
In regards to the government shutdown, I assure you that the ASBP provided -- without interruption -- lifesaving blood and blood products to our service members, veterans and their families both at home and overseas. Thank you to everyone who donated blood -- your donations truly made a difference.
Veteran's Day is right around the corner. To honor our veterans, ASBP blood donor centers around the country, will hold celebrations leading up to, and on, Veteran's Day: "Join us. Thank our veterans."
Thanks, Col. Richard H. McBride
