Greetings!
|
|
|
It is with mixed emotions that I inform you that FPN Vice
President Maggie Osborn will be leaving Florida Philanthropic
Network to accept the position of President for the Connecticut
Council for Philanthropy, FPN's colleague organization based in
Hartford, CT. She begins this new role on May 1, 2013.
Maggie joined the FPN staff in October 2010, and during her 2.5
years here she has played a key role in moving FPN forward in
many ways to achieve our mission. She has strengthened FPN's
educational and professional development opportunities for our
members, including our annual Summit; helped create or expand
several of our member affinity groups; and has been a major
force in the growth of our membership. Maggie has also provided
helpful advice, counsel and friendship to many of our members.
Although we will all miss Maggie greatly, I am pleased that
she will still be a part of FPN's national network of regional
associations of grantmakers (RAs). I look forward to working
with her as a fellow RA leader. I think it says a great deal
about FPN that we are playing a key role in nurturing the next
generation of leadership in the RA field and making an important
contribution to the philanthropy field nationwide.
We
will soon be sending out information about our staffing plans
following Maggie's departure. In the meantime, please join me in
wishing Maggie all the best in the next phase of her career. |

Sincerely, |
