The deadline to nominate a deserving volunteer to be recognized at our annual recognition breakfast is Friday at 5 p.m.

Again this year, United Way of East Central Iowa is honoring some of our area's outstanding volunteers at an April 26, 2013, Volunteer Recognition event at the Hotel at Kirkwood in southwest Cedar Rapids.
The awards are open to volunteers throughout United Way's six-county area and recognize outstanding volunteer service.
Winners in each category will receive $500 to donate to a nonprofit of their choice.
Jack Roeder, the former Kernels General Manager, will be the keynote speaker at this year's event. You can register
