Greetings!
As you may remember, we were going for more than $10 million raised this year.  Thousands of Eastern Iowans joined our volunteer leaders - Campaign Chairs Marc and Cathy Gullickson and Vice Chair Ron Olson - on the United Way train. Thanks to you and 22,120 other donors we raised more than $10 million for the sixth year in a row. On behalf of the single mom who receives assistance with shelter, the senior citizen who receives a daily meal and the person who calls United Way 2-1-1 to get help, let me thank you for your donation. Together, we can do more than anyone of us alone. Last year, 22,000 donors like you helped more than 100,000 people in our region, including: - 1,311 people who received assistance with shelter.
- 2,950 older adults who received meals.
- 1,959 parents who attended parent education and skill development classes.
- 4,180 people who received help with tax returns, returning almost $7 million to the community.
- 12,216 youth who received oral health screenings.
