Greetings!
Oh how thankful I am! For wonderful clients, friends and colleagues, dedicated staff and a supportive, loving husband.
Thank you all, I am nothing without you.
I have a favor to ask you, dear reader: Will you consider planning to shop at a local small business on the Saturday after Thanksgiving? Pick any business close to your home that is locally owned and operated. It could be a gift, flower, jewelry, clothing or shoe shop. Maybe a hair salon (or barber), dry cleaner, bakery or auto repair shop. If you want to shop big box stores for Black Friday-please do! But if you can think to shop small on Saturday, November 24, 2012, the effort of spending your hard earned money with locally-owned businesses who employ friends and neighbors means that your local economy will benefit greatly. Your dollars stay local, and boost your own neighborhood! A great win-win.
And I want to give you a gift to support your business. If you sign up for the webinar noted below and enter the code SHOPSMALL as the coupon code you can attend as our guest-at NO COST!! Save $105 and learn the success strategies for 2013. BUT you have to sign up between now and Small Business Saturday. After midnight Saturday, the code is no longer active-so take advantage today.
BTW-- The Center Club Government Contracting Group is holding our breakfast meeting on Dec 5, details below. I hope to see you there.
And I do hope that you spend your Thanksgiving doing whatever makes you happy-spending time with family, friends, serving others, or even in the quiet contemplation of solitude.
Thank YOU for being you, and of course, here's to your success!

SAM Registered Contractors Beware!
We have gotten many reports of companies based out of Florida who claim to be "subcontractors" on the SAM government website and are charging $300-$600+ to confirm, approve, register (and many other terms) businesses on the federal System for Award Management (www.SAM.gov) web site.
Some of their websites imply that they are related to SAM, providing "authorized" services, etc. They use a 202 area code, but they all seem to be based out of Florida. Please know that YOU DO NOT NEED TO PAY a dime to be registered in SAM or on any other federal web site. Most of these firms also ask for electronic funds transfer authorization to be paid directly out of your bank account. THIS IS A RED FLAG! Be very careful. |
BIG WIN! Congrats to Group Z

Congratulations to Group Z on their recent contract award to provide hardware maintenance support to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). The equipment maintained by Team Group Z will play an important role in ensuring OPM continues to serve their "most important tool" - their people. Group Z is proud to support OPM's vision of the federal government becoming America's model employer for the 21st century.
The estimated total value of this 8(a) award for support is $2.9 million over the initial period of performance and one option year.
TargetGov client Group Z is proud to report this award came on the heels of two wins from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE). In both awards, Group Z was selected to develop online systems in support of the Health Related Resources Section in the Special Services Branch within the Division of Special Education/Early Intervention Services (DSE/EIS). The new systems will assist MSDE in the administration of the Autism Waiver. Previously recognized as a "True Friend of Children and Children's Hospitals" by the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI), Group Z is pleased to have this opportunity to once again provide assistance to children.
