New York's New
Child Performer Regulations
To take effect on April, 1st, 2013
The final regulation was filed yesterday and should appear in the New York State Register on March 6th, 2013.
A copy of the final rule is available for review on the New York Department of Labor's website, together with an assessment of public comments.
In order to facilitate a smooth transition, the new rules will not take effect until April 1st, 2013. There is also a phase-in period for enforcement, which means the Department will not impose any penalty or sanction for violations that occur, and are cured, prior to June 1st, 2013.
Children In Film's website will reflect these changes on our Rules and Laws pages once they go in to effect.
