Workshop for adult
amateur musicians

Enjoy a fun introduction for adult amateur musicians - piano, strings, winds, singers - to the special musical style and passion of the tango.
Workshop will include individual coaching in a group setting, teaching of special technics and ensemble opportunities for string players and fascinating demonstration and commentary by Ms. Singer and Dr. Watson.
Participants may perform a solo tango and receive coaching in a group setting. Intermediate and advanced musicians are welcome. (Note: Please email name, contact phone, a brief musical bio and the piece you would like to perform to: info@washingtonconservatory.org - Subject: Tango Workshop. Repertoire will be suggested, upon request.)
Special for String Players: Learn string techniques specific to tango such as the "whip" and tremolo slides. Sight read simple tango arrangements as an ensemble. String workshop participants may but are not required to perform in the solo portion of the workshop.
