Kimberly Fisher, Principal Second Violinist of The Philadelphia Orchestra, has appeared as soloist with numerous orchestras including The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Vancouver Symphony, and The Victoria Symphony. As recitalist and chamber musician she has performed across the United States and Canada, in England, Spain, France, Germany, Japan, China, Vietnam and Argentina.

Kimberly has appeared in chamber music settings on "The Today Show" and in such prestigious venues as Carnegie Hall, The Mogador Theater in Paris, The Kimmel Center, The Great Hall of China and most recently in conjunction with Midori and Friends in New York City.

She has enjoyed chamber music performances with internationally renowned artists such as Wolfgang Sawallisch, Cristoph Eschenbach, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, William Preucil, Cynthia Phelps and many others. She is seen performing as soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra in the film "Music From the Inside Out"  by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Daniel Anker.

Ms. Fisher's energetic, communicative teaching style has led to invitations to give master classes, chamber music coachings and audition preparation seminars around the world. A strong advocate of bringing music to young people, she co-founded with Sandy Marcucci the Philadelphia International Music Festival (PIMF) in 1997. PIMF, in residency at Bryn Mawr College, impacts the lives of nearly 300 young musicians from around the world annually. Representatives from PIMF, will attend the concert and master class and be available to talk with interested students, parents, and audience members about the festival.

Ms. Fisher began violin studies at age three with her father as her teacher for 12 years. Ms. Fisher's professional orchestral career began when she joined the Victoria Symphony as their youngest member at age 16. Continuing her studies, she moved to Philadelphia to attend the Curtis Institute of Music where she studied with Philadelphia Orchestra violinist Yumi Ninomiya. Besides being a member of the Philadelphia Orchestra, she currently teaches violin at the University of Maryland, College Park.
