A friendly Q&A time with the musicians
Get your front row seats for the premiere performance of the Cezanne Piano Trio, whose name honors Paul Cezanne, the French Post-impressionist artist, who described his artistic process as modulating with colors. The painter's description of his painting is reminiscent of musicians' process of creating colors with sound.
Violinist Kevin Jang earned B.M and M.M. degrees from the Peabody Institute where he received the J. C. Hulstyen Award for excellence in violin, and a D.M.A. from Catholic University. He is a frequent performer throughout the DC area, and has been soloist with orchestras including the Cascade Festival Orchestra and Aspen Mozart Orchestra.
Cellist Danielle Cho earned a M.M. degree from New England Conservatory and B.M. from the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, and was a Fulbright Scholar in Barcelona, Spain. She performs throughout the US and with Washington National Opera, the Palau de Les Arts Orchestra in Valencia, Spain, and the Sarasota Opera.
Pianist Martin Labazevitch earned a Professional Studies Diploma, M.M. and B.M. from Manhattan School of Music. He is winner of the La Gesse Foundation audition, and has soloed with Joven Orquesta Nacional and Orquesta Joven de Andalucia in Spain, Rzeszow Philharmonic Orchestra in Poland, St. Kristoforo Kamernis Orkestras in Lithuania, and TIPC Symphony Orchestra in Japan.
The Cezanne Piano Trio members are faculty members of the Washington Conservatory of Music.
