1-JESUS IS THE ROOT OF ALL GOOD FRUIT
John 15:5 (NIV) 5
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
ISAIAH 11:1-2 1 Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a branch from his roots will bear fruit.
2 The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD....
ISAIAH 11:10
10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

1- FRUIT PRODUCING VINES GETS PRUNED TO BEAR MORE FRUIT
John 15:2 -3
1"I am the true vine, and My Father is the vine dresser.
2"Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.
3"You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you....
2- WE ARE THE BRANCHES...YOU CANNOT BEAR GOOD FRUIT APART FROM THE ROOT.
- BEAR MEANS TO CARRY....NOT PRODUCE IT
- PEOPLE CAN EAT THE FRUIT OF THE BRANCH IF IT IS A SWEET BRANCH ATTACHED TO THE ROOT THAT IS GOOD.
3 - THE FATHER IS THE VINE DRESSER - OWNER OF THE VINEYARD.
- HE OWNS THE VINEYARD.
- JOHN 15:1 1"I am the true vine, and My Father is the vine dresser.
ISAIAH 5:1 -5 HEDGE
1Let me sing now for my well-beloved
A song of my beloved concerning His vineyard.
My well-beloved had a vineyard on a fertile hill.
2He dug it all around, removed its stones,
And planted it with the choicest vine.
And He built a tower in the middle of it
And also hewed out a wine vat in it;
Then He expected it to produce good grapes,
But it produced only worthless ones.
3"And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah,
Judge between Me and My vineyard.
4"What more was there to do for My vineyard that I have not done in it?
Why, when I expected it to produce good grapes did it produce worthless ones?
5"So now let Me tell you what I am going to do to My vineyard:
I will remove its hedge and it will be consumed;
I will break down its wall and it will become trampled ground.

- The Parable of the Wicked Tenants
33"Listen to another parable. There was a landowner who PLANTED A VINEYARD AND PUT A WALL AROUND IT AND DUG A WINE PRESS IN IT, AND BUILT A TOWER, and rented it out to vine-growers and went on a journey. 34"When the harvest time approached, he sent his slaves to the vine-growers to receive his produce. 35"The vine-growers took his slaves and beat one, and killed another, and stoned a third. 36"Again he sent another group of slaves larger than the first; and they did the same thing to them. 37"But afterward he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.' 38"But when the vine-growers saw the son, they said among themselves, 'This is the heir; come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.' 39"They took him, and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. 40"Therefore when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those vine-growers?" 41They said to Him, "He will bring those wretches to a wretched end, and will rent out the vineyard to other vine-growers who will pay him the proceeds at the proper seasons."
42Jesus said to them, "Did you never read in the Scriptures,
'THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED,
THIS BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone;
THIS CAME ABOUT FROM THE LORD,
AND IT IS MARVELOUS IN OUR EYES'?
43"Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people, producing the fruit of it. 44"And he who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust."
45When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard His parables, they understood that He was speaking about them.
46When they sought to seize Him, they feared the people, because they considered Him to be a prophet.
JESUS TELLING THE STORY ABOUT HIMSELF 7 DAYS BEFORE HIS CRUCIFIXION.
- LUKE 20:12"And he proceeded to send a third; and this one also they wounded and cast out. 13"The owner of the vineyard said, 'What shall I do? I will send my beloved son; perhaps they will respect him.' 14"But when the vine-growers saw him, they reasoned with one another, saying, 'This is the heir; let us kill him so that the inheritance will be ours.'13
- MARK 12: 6"He had one more to send, a beloved son; he sent him last of all to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.' 7"But those vine-growers said to one another, 'This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance will be ours!'...
Closing
HE DIED TO SET US FREE FROM BAD FRUIT.
