INTRODUCTION:

As believers we live in a place that is full of defeat, full of death, and full of evil.  If we are going to live above those things and live successfully on this Earth, then it is an absolute must that we activate and connect to the anointing of God, and faith is how we connect.

FOUNDATION SCRIPTURES: Isaiah 10:27, Romans 1:16

I.        The anointing of God is the power of God that removes burdens, destroys yokes, and produces victory in the lives of believers (Isaiah 10:27)

A.     Jesus came and redeemed mankind (Galatians 3:13-14)

1.      Jesus didn't remove the evil from the Earth, he just made it so that while you are here you can live unaffected by the evil that is here (John 17:5)

2.      You need the ability and the power to live in a place that is filled with every part of the curse, but not be effected by any of that curse - that power is the anointing

a.      Burdens and yokes are any part of the curse that came on the Earth when Adam sinned

b.      The anointing of God allows you to live on this curse filled Earth, totally and completely free from the curse that is here

B.     The anointing of God is the ability of God or the power of God

1.      It is God's ability on your ability, giving you supernatural ability to do what you could not do before His ability was on your ability

a.      It is God taking his super and putting it on your natural and making you supernatural

2.      It is an empowerment to prosper and have success no matter what the circumstances or situations maybe

a.      It is the blessing

3.      It's the ability to accomplish the impossible

a.      It's the thing that allowed Peter to walk on the water, it's the thing that allowed Jesus to heal the sick, it's the thing that allowed David to defeat Goliath

b.      The anointing enables a man to do something that he couldn't do naturally by himself

C.    To live in victory on this Earth you must activate and walk in the anointing of God (Acts 10:34)

1.      Jesus had to have the anointing of God/the power of God to deliver those people who were being overpowered by Satan

a.      The anointing of God overpowered Satan

2.      Your ability is not enough to live a prosperous and victorious life on this Earth, but if you can get God's ability on you, then you can do it

a.      You need the anointing to walk free from the oppression

b.      If you're not going to be oppressed, then the anointing is an absolute must

II.      Faith is the connection to the anointing of God

A.     The power/anointing is only available to the people who believe (Romans 1:16)

1.      The power of God/the anointing of God is accessed by faith

2.      EXAMPLE: The power company is the source of your power.  The power that it provides can light your house, heat your house, turn on your TV, keep food cold, make food hot, make your water hot, turn your hair dryer on, and it can do much more.  That power called electricity is capable of doing all these things.  But if your house isn't connected to the power company through power lines you have no access to that power.  No the power company has the ability to do all those things for you through electricity, but without a connection you can't benefit from any of those things. 

3.      The Word of God is the power of God that will produce nothing missing and nothing broken in your life.  It can heal your body, it can increase your finances, it can get you out of debt, deliver you from depression, and it can accomplish the impossible.

a.      Faith is the power line through which the anointing (electricity) can flow and hit your life.  The power on that Word of God travels through faith to your life and will produce nothing missing, nothing broken.

4.      Matthew 13:53-58 - Jesus was the anointing; he was the power of God, but he had no channel of faith to flow through because the people wouldn't connect because of their unbelief

5.      Mark 5:21-32 - The woman with the issue of blood connected to the power by faith.  The anointing of God flowed through her faith and hit her physical body - Virtue left me 

B.     A person who lives by faith will connect to the anointing of God/the power of God and consequently can accomplish anything (Mark 9:23)

1.      Possible (Dunato) - idea of ability or power, one who is able or capable, there is a power that causes one to become able when or she believes

2.      Peter as a natural man didn't have the ability to walk on the water (Matthew 14:24)

a.      Jesus spoke the anointed Word to him and when Peter believed that Word, the anointing that was on that Word, it got on Peter and enabled Peter to do something that he couldn't do before, but now he's doing it because of the anointing

C.    The anointing gives me the ability to accomplish anything (Philippians 4:13)

1.      Christ - Anointed One, Messiah, the Greek translation of the Hebrew word Messiah which means anointed one, refers to pouring or smearing sacred oil on a person in a ceremony of dedication, symbolizing divine empowering to accomplish the task

2.      When I exercise my faith in the Word of God, it activates the anointing that was smeared on me and in me the day that I got born again; and now you see me doing something that I shouldn't be able to do, but what you can't see is the anointed one rubbed the anointing on me; and that is why I can do what you're seeing; and I turned that power on by faith

D.    The qualifier to walk in the anointing is that you have to believe what you can't yet see (John 20:29)

1.      The anointing is the blessing, it is the empowerment to prosper and have success

2.      The anointing/blessing comes on the people who don't see it but still believe it

a.      The guy who walks in the blessing or the anointing is the one who can't see it, but still believes

b.      Empowered to be healed is the guy who believes he's healed when he can't see healing, empowered to be a financially prosperous is the guy who believes he's financially prosperous when he doesn't have anything

3.      Hebrews 3:14 - When you stand in faith unwilling to quit, you'll partake of the anointing

E.     You take faith out of the equation and now all you have is the Word of God without the power of God,  a believer who needs it immensely, but has no way to connect to it

III.    The anointing is the empowerment to prosper and win in impossible situations

A.     A man shouldn't be able to walk on water (Matthew 14:24)

1.      Water is not solid ground so natural law "gravity" says that a man cannot walk on water

a.      When the anointing comes on the scene natural law is overridden and now man has the ability to do something that natural laws says cannot be done

2.      Peter stopped operating by faith and now the power/the anointing that was keeping him up on the water was turned off and that's why he fell

a.      When faith was withdrawn, the anointing was deactivated

b.      The way that faith activates the anointing, doubt and unbelief activates the anti-anointing, which is the empowerment to fail

B.     A tree shouldn't be able to bear fruit in the middle of heat and drought (Jeremiah 17:5)

1.      Empowered to fail is the man who makes flesh his arm - The guy who walks in unbelief carries the empowerment to fail

2.      That river is the blessing, it is the anointing, it is the power that is causing that tree to produce results in an impossible situation; The only thing that tree has to do is stay hooked up to the river

a.      The only thing that you have to do is stay hooked up to the anointing by faith and you too can succeed in impossible situations

C.    A man shouldn't be able to be thrown in fire and come out without being burnt or smelling like smoke (Daniel 3:16-20,23-25, 27)

1.      Natural laws say that human flesh that gets thrown in fire will burn, but the anointing got in there and overrode that and they came out of the fire unharmed without even smelling like smoke

*2.      You might be in the midst of a fiery furnace, but if you stand in faith in the midst of that, the anointing will get on you and it will remove any evidence that you ever went through that

D.    A woman shouldn't be able to have a baby without the sperm of a man (Luke 1:35-38, 45)

1.      The anointing that is smeared on you will make it so that whatever area you were weak in, the anointing of God will overshadow that area of weakness and make you strong in that area

2.      Mary activated the anointing by faith

a -She was empowered with the blessing/anointing because she believed and the faith connected her to and activated the anointing and because of it there was a performance of the impossible.

Connecting to the Anointing which is in Christ makes that which is impossible... Possible!
