The pattern of Jesus ministry:

Mark 1:21 (NIV)

Jesus Drives Out an Impure Spirit

²¹ They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach. ²² The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law. ²³ Just then a man in their synagogue who was possessed (demonized) by an impure spirit cried out, ²⁴ "What do you want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are-the Holy One of God!"

²⁵ "Be quiet!" said Jesus sternly. "Come out of him!" ²⁶ The impure spirit shook the man violently and came out of him with a shriek.

²⁷ The people were all so amazed that they asked each other, "What is this? A new teaching-and with authority! He even gives orders to impure spirits and they obey him." ²⁸ News about him spread quickly over the whole region of Galilee.

This are part of the Pattern for us who believe!

John 14 (NIV)

Jesus Said:

¹² Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.¹³ And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.¹⁴ You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.

• This man in Mark 1:21 was demonized
• Jesus spoke to the unclean Spirit...Not the man
• The Demon came out crying
• We Like Jesus do not have to deal with the man, but the unclean spirit in the man.

How close to the standard is the Church?

• Jesus Preached, then cast out demons and unclean spirits
• I believe most demons are comfortable in most American churches.
• Most Americans have become tolerant of the evil spirits among them.

Luke 13:31-32 (NIV)

Jesus' Sorrow for Jerusalem

³¹ At that time some Pharisees came to Jesus and said to him, "Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill you."

³² He (Jesus) replied, "Go tell that fox, 'I will keep on driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal.'

• WHAT WAS JESUS SAYING TO THE CHURCH OF HIS DAY?
• WHAT WAS HE SAYING TO THE GOVERMENT OF HIS DAY?

DISTINCTIVE SIGN THE KINGDOM HAS COME

Matthew 12:28 (NIV)

²⁸ But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

Jesus command to His disciples:

Matthew 10:7-8 (NIV)

⁷ As you go, proclaim this message: 'The kingdom of heaven has come near.'⁸ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

Jesus was saying demonstrate (teach) by example...not just preach!

Mark 16:15-20 (NIV)

¹⁵ He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.¹⁶ Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.¹⁷ And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; ¹⁸ they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well."

¹⁹ After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.²⁰ Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it. 

Luke 10:17-20 (NIV)

¹⁷ The seventy-two returned with joy and said, "Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name."

¹⁸ He replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.¹⁹ I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.²⁰ However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."

Acts 8: 5 (NIV)

⁴ Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.⁵ Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there.⁶ When the crowds heard Philip and saw the signs he performed, they all paid close attention to what he said. ⁷ For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. ⁸ So there was great joy in that city.

These Disciples had no problem raising crowds of people to hear the Gospel because there preaching was with demonstrations.

There was no atmosphere of dignity in those street services. People who are afraid that their reputation will be ruined by doing the works of Christ will never do the works of Christ.

WHAT ARE DEMONS

Demons are not devils (fallen angels) they are disembodied spirits of lost people who rejected Christ and are now slaves to Satan.. The Bible refers to them as unclean spirits. Demons look to occupy a body. .. They do not wish to be disembodied.

How do these Spirits manifest themselves in a Human?

• Drug addiction
• Alcohol addiction
• Unbiblical sexual contacts or activities (including masturbation)

Isaiah 61 (NIV)

The Year of the Lord's Favor

61:1 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,     because the Lord has anointed me
    to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
    to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,^[a]
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, ³     and provide for those who grieve in Zion-
to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise
    instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

• The Spirit of Heaviness will be replaced by Garments of Praise (KJV)
• In the name of Jesus Spirits obey:

Names of unclean Spirits:

• Hate
• Self Pity
• Death
• Fear
• Heaviness or depression
• Infirmity, sickness, disease, affliction 

Joel 2:32 (NIV)

³² And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved;  for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance,  as the Lord has said, even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.

How do The Spirits enter a Human?

• During Times of weakness
• Prenatal: something the mother did before the birth of her child
• During an episode of human rejection
• Undue Pressures during childhood
• Emotional shock
• Fear -1 Peter 3;⁶ Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.
• Criticism
• Sinful acts or habits
• Idol words (speaking things you do not really mean) See Matthew 12:36

Occult Practices

Deuteronomy 18: 9-13 (NIV)

⁹ When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. ¹⁰ Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft,¹¹ or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.¹² Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; because of these same detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you.¹³ You must be blameless before the Lord your God.

Note: Occultist practices is making friendship with the enemy of God!

DEMON ACTIVITIES

• Enticement to do evil
• Harass (get you to blow your stack) Anger to harm those you love the most
• Defile (unclean thoughts to make you feel unclean)
• Torture ( get you into unforgiveness to be turned over to the torturers) Bitterness, Resentment
• Compel (compulsions)
• Enslave (alcohol, Television)
• Addictions (See 1 Cor 6:12) Instruction not to be brought under the power of any)

YOU are the physical temple of the Holy Spirit!

FINALLY STAYING FREE

You Must:

• Confirm your faith and belief in Jesus Christ
• Break with Occult/ Superstitions/ False religions ( Free Masons, Mormonism,)
• Walk in humility
• Confess any known sins
• Confess forsake and repent of all known sins then you will prosper
• Forgive others of their sins against you so that you may be forgiven.
• Expel Spirits
• Be released from every curse spoken against you.
